Temp was 74, humidity down at 88%, sun shining (for now).

Fired up the Miata, put the top down, and I was off and running.  I drove part way on one of my favorite roads, Winchester. It roughly follows the St, Mary's river so it's about as curvy as you can get in these parts.

The Miata was in fine spirits, as I was.  The few curves were no match for the Miata's eagerness to tackle any road conditions. The breeze was in my face, just like riding, the air was invigorating just like riding, the sound of the four cylinder revving up to 7K reminded me of the Valks willingness to get to redline too.
The 'snick' as I shifted though the sixspeed tranny wasn't quite the same as the Valk because I have an 'extra' gear. Other wise, effortless just like the Valk.

I stopped at a house on Winchester Road that was built back in the 1850's . It was the home of the pioneer in my church's Missouri Synod Lutheranism,  lots of history in this formerly German area.  The home has been completely restored to its original condition.  Seeing it was the icing on the cake on this 'attitude adjusting" short drive this morning.

Oh well, time to drive the Miata back to the garage and drive the sorta mundane Mazda Six on various tasks to do today.

Wayne,

Was that 88% humidity a typo? I'd be a gooey mess at that level. Your Miata looks like a hoot to drive. I like the color, too.

My neighbor across the street has one in white. He's a vertically challenged individual, even for that car. Quite a sight.

Bob, no typo.  Humidity has dropped to 68% but temp is at 81 now.

I feel certainly blessed to be able to install myself in my Miata at my age and to still enjoy straightening the curves in this low mileage really nice 2002 LS. I was lucky to find exactly what I wanted to replace riding. I just had to post another pic showing the very good condition of this 2002 LS.

Does this one like golf cart paths?   Wink   Glad you got out for awhile, we're still sweltering in 90+ temp with humidity to match. Puts the heat index in the triples, you go out to the mailbox and sweat through your shirt before getting back inside. Thankfully my garage has an a/c and heat vent in it. Can't wait for October.
