Triumph motorcycles is going for the World Speed Record. They just broke one record already, an existing record, by over 25mph.

Realizing this record is meant to impress a different generation than I'm part of. Doing this won't influence me to purchase Triumph. But, it is impressive to see further development of the engines. Records are made to be broken but, I really don't believe breaking this record will help much with Triumph sales. At least, it won't put one in my garage.

I would have to say Burt Munro has them beat dollar for mile, I think he did an unofficial 205mph on a 47 year old Indian. That Triumph had to cost someone a dollar or two, to build.

One thing the Valk don't want to mess with is the 2300cc triump rocket III.
Not sure we need more speed than the Valk though do we?
I find the Valk 'controlled' power where as some of the power cruisers I can get into way too much trouble way too quickly.

Guy Martin is slightly "off his rocker"...
This is in his off time,
while
recuperating from the 2015 crash at Ulster.

Apples and Oranges...........
Purpose built bikes, that Rocket won't do for me what a Valkyrie does.
You make your bed and then sleep in it.
