We took this off a 2014 Valk. It was not high mileage. He ran over a piece of steel. Tire was plugged and held air. He said he ran about four miles and it went low. Had it trailered to the shop.

Those are the nylon cords the tire is constructed from? Scary!

I'm confused on what happened. Did the tire come apart from the inside ?

That was dangerous, they had that problem on the original Valk tire for awhile. Thanks for posting that.

Those are the steel belts from the inside. The tread is in O K condition. I have changed a lot of tires , But this is a first for me. He said it went flat fast , plugged and went out in about four miles.

Wow. How big of a hole was it? Like a screw or nail hole filled with 1 plug? Or more of a gash requiring more than 1 plug?

Looking at the photos, I am thinking the tire was destroyed the first time it went flat.  That damage is classic for being driven while flat. If it goes flat all at once at highway speeds, they are usually destroyed before you can even get stopped.
