I suggest using the block feature, It has been really peaceful on my side not reading what a select few have to say. Yes you can click show me this post but i don't. The few i have blocked have nothing constructive to add to this fine MOTORCYCLE board.  Maybe someday they will grow up and emerge out of their mothers basement and join reality  :cooldude:

My father told me Popeye's use of spinach was to encourage people, maybe especially youngsters, to eat spinach (or vegetables) during the hard times of the depression.  That would be consistent with the 1932 arrival of spinach in the Popeye stories.

You won't be able to tell who has you blocked.  When one encounters a blocked post the message board will let one know and give him an option to view anyway.

The reason Donald Trump is is on the ticket is because voters during the primaries were sick and tired of the professional politicians.  Specifically the Republican voters were tired of electing politicians only to see them not follow through with what they were elected to do.  Perhaps some of the Democratic voters will reach that same point of disillusionment and we may see the demise of the two party system.  We can only hope.
I'm going to disagree slightly with that, Trump is on the ticket because he got a populist core early on or about 30%. It never grew much after that but the hangers on who were getting 5%-8% left that populist core be the winning number. Once those dropped the vote he was being beaten handily until the race was in the more liberal NE where a populist New Yorker was going to do well.

My issue is that we have a progressive liberal on one side and Hillary on the other. Its just over two years since Trump said she was the "BEST" for the state dept job. His history is far from looking out for your freedoms. He is far from conservative, but he has co opted the moniker which will be used against conservatives win or lose.

As to the Libertarian party? There are two types of libertarians. Constitutional libertarians, what used to be classic liberals before that title was bastardized, and the one running now wants to cut the govt across the board, yet has never met a welfare program he didnt like.

At this point, I have to take some pepto before I vote and hope that he doesnt flip on his SCOTUS picks.
However beautiful the strategy, you should occasionally look at the results.

Couldnt think of a good response to the original post till I found this

There's a glitch in the Blocking system.

You won't see posts, or replies to your posts, that blocked people make.

However, you can see the posts and replies, when others who you don't block, reply to the blocked person's post or reply.

Say it a couple times, it makes sense

I would hope and pray after all this that the next president will be decided by LEO's, Firemen, Armed Forces personnel, veterans,  most NRA members, and voters who are concerned with the direction that this country is going in.  We could end up just like California in every way.  Apologies to the out numbered thinkers in California.

I would hope and pray it is not decided by Free Stuff advocates the 'blind' voters, 'progressives', the Democratic Party, and stuffed ballet boxes by illegal aliens.

Probably too much to hope for. Way oversimplification.

Well, I was considering using the "block" feature, then decided I needed a daily dose of levity in my life. I do take umbrage with the inference of being a moron, especially when I look at the education received both in and out of the classroom. And, as Willow stated, the gray matter possessed in this hard head is also somewhat above average, as I'm sure it is with many of our members. The big issue here though it quite simple.....it's not needed to make a solid choice. When I looked at the list of Hillary's "accomplishments".....some of which are a bit exaggerated, it reminds me of a lady I dated for a time following my divorce in 1988.

Physically, she was a beautiful specimen in every respect, but remember....beauty is only skin deep. This one like to argue and fight over nearly every aspect of our relationship until one day I'd had enough and told her so before walking away. Her response was to argue over that, something I refused to do which made her even more PO'd. Her comment just before I closed the door behind me was justification in her own mind: "If you think I'm so great 99% of the time, then why can't you just accept the bad 1%?" I simply told her that 1% was so bad that it far overshadowed the other 99%. Now, when one thinks of Hillary's list of questionable things she's been involved in, for me it falls in the 1% category.....they've been so bad it far overshadows any good she may/may not have been involved in. Like one of my daughters said some time back in reference to Hillary: "You can get 100 "attaboys" in a row, but just one "aw crap" wipes them all out."

I did not write this, but I agree with it and wanted to share it.

..................................................

We have a great opportunity here, people. We also have the potential for real catastrophe and that's not being hyperbolic. You know damn good and well which is which.

Don't be stupid.

Thank you.
None of us a moronic enough accept a list of mostly where she has been as any indication she actually accomplished anything, especially from the Hillary oriented Daily KOS.

Actually not a very impressive list as it appears to have been written by a promotion specialist and is mostly verbal fluff. You could add "may be a member of the human race", "blonde female sometime, maybe, we think!", "was in New York as a government bureaucrat", etc. Although those are no better recommendations for president than most of what is cited.

Qualified, give us a break, no one believes that, not even Hillary and certainly not Bill.

As for your last sentence, many of us are not stupid(your word) enough to vote for her, ever for anything. I know you cannot believe that, but it is true. And nothing you say or do will change that.

I am thru with this thread, so have fun.

My second disagreement would be that though it's a huge long shot ther is still a chance for the Libertarians. Imagine the three of them on the debate stage. The American people might see a true patriot.

The problem with a third party candidate is the distribution of the committed vote.  There are large blocks of voters on both the right and the left who will not be swayed.  They will vote for their party's candidate no matter who that candidate may be.  In today's world neither of those committed blocks is large enough to be a majority of itself.  The election is actually decided by a small group of voters who may or may not vote in each election and who will decide based upon what they perceive during the campaigns.  This group in the middle is small but they do actually decide the outcome.  The group in the middle is not large enough to give a third or fourth party the victory even if they were all convinced to vote for the same candidate.

You are probably right. But I see a possibility of R's and D's peeling off if they can see for themselves someone with character.

IF Johnson actually had a snow balls chance in heck of beating Hillary, I guarantee you her attack dogs in the media would be going after him as much, and pretty soon, he will have been a racist his whole life, beats his wife and kids, and is a total moron.

The race is between Trump and Hillary that is really all the political posts are about. The propaganda piece made so we would fall into the trap and read all her plus side is a pretty nasty move. So we have a post for Hillary's merits why not a post for Hillary's problems. This could be a continuing post listing all the reasons why Hillary is not qualified or simply to express your dislike of a particular situation she has spun.

Feel free to list all the reasons she is truly NOT qualified to be the next president.

I am going to start with the post about George Soros being her biggest donator.

http://www.jpost.com/Opinion/Our-World-Soross-campaign-of-global-chaos-464770

According to the documents, Soros has given more than $30 million to groups working for Hillary Clinton's election in November, making him her largest single donor. So it is likely the case that the media's support for Clinton has played some role in the mainstream media's bid to bury the story.

It is also likely however, that at least some news editors failed to understand why the leaked documents were worth covering. Most of the information was already public knowledge. Soros's massive funding of far-left groups in the US and throughout the world has been documented for more than a decade.

But failing to see the significance of the wider story because many of the details were already known is a case of missing the forest for the trees. The DCLeaks document dump is a major story because it exposes the forest of Soros's funding networks.

Below is the list of things Clinton could not recall in the FBI interview:

    When she received security clearance
Being briefed on how to handle classified material
How many times she used her authority to designate items classified
Any briefing on how to handle very top-secret "Special Access Program" material
How to select a target for a drone strike
How the data from her mobile devices was destroyed when she switched devices
The number of times her staff was given a secure phone
Why she didn't get a secure Blackberry
Receiving any emails she thought should not be on the private system
Did not remember giving staff direction to create private email account
Getting guidance from state on email policy
Who had access to her Blackberry account
The process for deleting her emails
Ever getting a message that her storage was almost full
Anyone besides Huma Abedin being offered an account on the private server
Being sent information on state government private emails being hacked
Receiving cable on State Dept personnel securing personal email accounts
Receiving cable on Bryan Pagliano upgrading her server
    Using an iPad mini
An Oct. 13, 2012, email on Egypt with Clinton pal Sidney Blumenthal
    Jacob Sullivan using personal email
State Department protocol for confirming classified information in media reports
Every briefing she received after suffering concussions
Being notified of a FOIA request on Dec. 11, 2012

Well, she did bump her head. Maybe she needs to bump it again -- or somebody bump it for her -- and her memory will return. I saw it happen to Peter Griffin. It's as medically possible as her reason for all the things she could not and apparently still cannot recall. That poor woman.
