Well, selling my 2012 1800 Wing but keeping my Valk I/S. Valk has 130k so shes part of the family. Have to say i love the Chieftain. Has a lighter feel being lighter than the valk.  and handles great. Can take the hard bags off easy and make a bagger. The nav. etc. will take some time to get used to. but does it all. Will miss the car tire and mods. I have done to the Valk but in time with cams and exhaust changes. Indian colors are a little dif. Got the Fire red and black. Red is a little orangey but like the two tone of it. Especially like the forward controls and floorboards. One thing the wings and the Valk should have had along with the 6 speed.

I think Chieftain is the one that is like a Springfield, but with
a fairing instead of a windshield... I sure do like the Springfield.

The Chieftain is more like a full dresser. Fairing, bags, and trunk.

yeah the chieftain has the hard bags and fairing, no trunk. The new info. deal on the dash is fantastic. Tells everything. Got the forward controls and floorboards. was my biggest advantage. Handles great. And should keep its value.

Sure would like an update on the Chieftain after a few thousand miles.  Last night I looked at these for an hour.  I think they look great and love that red and black.  I think an add came over my computer and it showed the Chieftain Dark Horse.  It was mostly black but in the add had a blue hue to it that intrigued me.  Went to the Indian site and saw it was all matte black and the hue must have been a trick of the light or maybe it does do this in the right light, not sure.  Yeh they are pricey but in line with Harley's and by all accounts I have read a better bike, but I am not sure.  They are purty.  Hope it is great for you.
