that is about as cheap as I have seen a valk sell for except one was closer around 3500 or was it 3K only, can't remember, locally but had a butt ugly light Packer green color to it.

Was going to buy for 3K fi ran well, but sold was too late

Was Salvage, now Rebuilt title.  My concern would be the "weird steering" he says is due to a front tire he had to run at 18# for a short distance.  If I were looking at it I'd have him slap on a new tire, then take it on a test ride.

My concern also. Front tire doesn't look like it has a strange wear pattern. Internal damage to tire?

On a motorcycle salvage or rebuild doesn't matter they are all good. If there is any frame damage then the bike goes to CD or Junk title which can be fixed however the frame must be replaced.
Salvage just means some cosmetic damage and maybe fork tubes but easy fixes.

In many cases it is the best way to buy at a great price if you know what to look for. I have probably purchased over 50 salvage bikes and my current 99 interstate is salvage - love that thing  cooldude

$3800 is a tad high as I paid 2700 for my 99 IS 4 years ago
