When I buy something, before I do, I generally check to see where it item is located. I do this to get an idea how long it will take to get it. I bought an item and it is coming from Pelham, Alabama, so I click on Google maps to see how far it is from me, I noticed a city called Arab with a main street called Egypt.  Well I became curious about the peoples origin in that area, I got email for my item, I got a thank you for purchase and they had an odd name.  I was wondering if those were Arabic, or Eastern origin settlement.  Is anyone was familiar with the area.  I like eastern cooking!

They're good old Alabama rednecks. I know a bunch of them and have several good friends who live there. Good salt of the earth folks  cooldude

BTW, I'm referring to Arab, not Pelham.... and it's pronounced A-rab.

Pelham is a little down the road from Birmingham, just below Hoover.  When I was there last there were a some newer communities but also a lot of old time Alabama families that had been there for a long time.

Well no eastern recipes there.  Just wondered, always looking for new healthy cooking ideas.
