We just buried a friend. 61 yrs old and he just signed up for SS.  He collapsed while mowing the lawn, probably dead from the heart attack before he hit the ground.
With what has happened this summer and now this, it tends to change how one thinks.
All the political bantering and other such 'discussions' means nothing now.

Very sorry for your loss. If anything, you might be able to take some comfort in knowing that he went quickly and didn't suffer. It won't make you miss him any less; but I hope that when my time is up, that's how I go. Thoughts and prayers with you, your family and his family and loved ones.

Sorry to read this, Patrick.  Losing a close friend is a tough blow, and definitely puts things in perspective.  Remember the fun times shared, and that he'd want you to keep on having more.  Prayers from Colorado.

I'm very sorry you're friend died.  Cry When I was young I never thought about death. Now it seems like it slaps you in face all too often.  Angry

Yep a friend going just when he should be kicking back will get your attention. I'm 65 and my High school class has lost 65 out of 250 members to the grim reaper that we know of. There are another 75 we don't know whether they are living or dead.

Sorry for the loss of a good friend well before it should have happened.

Ya just never know when your time is up.  A guy where I use to work retired after 30+ years with same company only age 62 tops and could run circles around me even at that age was in very good shape.  A week after early retirement thinking he had 20+ more years to go to enjoy,  he also died of a heart attack.  So sad.

Got me thinking as this was the first post opened up signing in:   I was going to mow my grass just now push mowing maybe I should hold off on doing it, although darn grass needs it for sure.

Thanks for the responses.

Just like the Bear said, thats the way to go if your going.

Several friends have buried children, he is one.

When something serious happens to you, family or friends it tends to make you look at things a bit differently. Strange how life is sometimes.
