WHO zackly determines how high off the floor the cursed toilet paper dispensers are sposed to be? Reason I ask I've noticed in newer construction especially that the dispensers are-NOT Seem-ARE getting much closer to the floor. I had reason to use the facility at my V A office today and hadn't noticed it before today. Today I had too sit rather than sand. And NOT JUST at my V A office. Last couple of road trips using facilities other than my own It's become apparent that the toilet paper dispensers are getting closer to the floor! Are there THAT many height challenged people in the world? And BEFOE you ask-in MY house those rolls are at elbow level while seated. VERY handy at that height! PERFECT ridin weather thru next Thursday BUT gotta refrain from ridin ta heal properly. And ya can see WHAT happens when ya cain't ride. RIDE SAFE.

Dennis, perhaps the location of the paper isn't changing. Are your arms retracting?

Some toilets are so close to the floor I almost need a hoist to get up. Might as well just have a hole in the floor.

My wife's main complaint is the TP holder is too far away, now more evident since she's kinda shrunk in recent years. Example; some time back I kept noticing the TP in the guest bathroom was sitting on the edge of the tub so I'd just slip it in the holder which is mounted opposite the throne. After a couple weeks, my dearest comes out of that BR one day and tells me tells me to stop putting the TP in the holder. I asked why.....she loudly answers in obvious frustration....."because I can't reach the damn thing." Oh, OK! Potty mouth.

It's become apparent that the toilet paper dispensers are getting closer to the floor! Are there THAT many height challenged people in the world? Everyone that uses the toilet has their butts at the same level, unless you stand up to do the paper work. I would think the dispensers location standard would be related to the toilet seat height. But my logic is proven wrong daily, continuously.

Nice to ponder stuff like this, though... How boring would it be, if we didn't have seedy bureaucrats with bad comb-overs overseeing all the important stuff in our lives, and providing us with such stimulating intellectual material to ponder... No Carl-my arms ain't retracting or shrinking or in anyway shape or form gittin shorter. I KNOW this cause the last time I sat on my Phatt Ghurl the controls came comfortably to hand like they always duz! Tryin to figure which is worser-lack or ridin or lack of-rhymes with bookie! Bruce-to be brutally honest-didn't pay it a whole lot of never mind but with my left leg in that walking boot and the pooperosity levels increasing-well weird thoughts in weird places. As I mentioned in the opening post seems as if my observations were noticing the lower paper work dispensers. MAYBE they are setting it up fer young uns that have yet to reach their growth potential? And-YUP-realize this is a really crappy subject! RIDE SAFE.

Keep in mind that commodes come in different styles and heights. We have one low one that my resident bed warmer if fine with, but for me it's like doing a squat at the gym.

Dang, good thing it's that big or I'd never hit the fool thing. So....not your picture huh? Sure! John, about fifty years ago in a hotel room in Kyoto there were graphic instructions especially for Americans on how to use the Japanese repository. We didn't need them but they were entertaining. The raised portion is the front. Facing the front one places a foot on either side of the porcelain. One then lowers oneself into a squatting position with the knees above the level of the buttocks to execute the operation. It's a challenge for an adult that hasn't previously used that method. No. I had to search for a picture. I didn't save any from that long ago. I haven't been in Japan since 1970, 1977 if you count Okinawa.

Ok do you face the wall or face away from the wall and why is there 2 tissue dispensers placed so low to the floor? Two more questions come to mind what happens with diarrhea and what happens if it clogs? I have seen these but never used one so just curious. Can we put a few of these in nursing homes?

How does one ever catch up on your reading in a situation like that? I used to have a small magazine rack in our master b/r throne area, that is until Rita got disgusted and removed it. I humored her, I now use her shower chair for that purpose, I know she won't remove that....she can't lift it.

What bothers me is when the dispenser is located right at my shoulder or even slightly behind it. You have to be double jointed to reach it.

80s-early 90s some of the truck stop restrooms were mounted like that and to add to the difficulty level instead of rolls they used those little teeny tiny individual squares! RIDE SAFE.
