I just watched a show called Biketacular on Velocity channel and I must say I was severely disappointed.  It was a countdown of significant historic motorcycles but was kind of rushed through and didn't give the subject matter the proper attention it deserved.
It didn't help that when they would show a bike running there was some kind of crappy pop music drowning out the sound of the bike.  That is one of my pet peeves, they will bring out a famous rare bike and take it out on a run and all you can hear is some bogus music instead of the bike.
I give the show a D+ and feel I'm being generous.  You would think that given the subject matter and all the resources available they could have come up with a better finished product.
There was a promo for an upcoming show called Harley and the Davidsons and they made it look like it's going to be unwatchable because of the way it's edited.  It seems like they can't keep the camera on something for more than two seconds.  I'm afraid that it's made by the same production company.  I think I'll pass on that one.

they did have a few impressive rare bikes worth mentioning, but the triump bonneville number 2 and HD knucklehead number 1 as well as a Honda CB750 4 cylinder and Honda dream scooter (I think it was a dream, not sure)  also in the top 10 seems to me not very likely.

I think it was more of a promo for the new episodes of TV shows that channel will have in the near future more so than the REAL top 10 cycles of all time.

I watched that show as well and I agree, that it was just a setup, or "teaser" for the upcoming H&D show.

ANY show that portends to have the "10 Best" of anything is sure to be suspect.

Maybe it was intended to create some interest in motorcycles, particularly in the v-twin camp.

Was exactly as I anticipated! A full hour of Hardley commercials, interrupted, infrequently by the "Top Motorcycles", which by the way, Number 1 just happened to be a Hardley Knucklehead!

I love that Hardley has just introduced the talk of the town; a third generation 8 valve engine that will set the world on fire. Third engine design in 80 years, and they brag on the fact that their engineering is  so antiquated. Indian was racing 8 valves in 1913!!

Let me stop, fore I get cranked up! Rant over! Forgive me....... Angry
