During a ride today I stopped for gas for the final leg home.  I got back on the highway but some didn't seem right with the windshield.  Was it my imagination?  Should I wait till I got home to check things out?
After many years and a lot of miles of looking through that shield  I knew something was wrong.
I started envisioning the shield coming completely off and decapitating me so  I took the next off ramp and found one of the bolts was loose enough that the wind at 80 mph was enough to move the shield.
Moral of the story....check your nuts, screws, bolts and rivets.     Smiley

I don't really check mine. But I do adjust them on a regular basis.  coolsmiley

That is one good thing about cleaning your bike. You will find loose bolts and nuts and or problems before they get too bad, except for the windscreen bolts of coarse.

I should follow my advice more often. I remembered earlier this year I checked my manifold nuts. The left side was missing two nuts and three were loose.  Right side had three loose nuts.
I saw someone lost one of their side bags along the hiway last week too.  Now that hurts. crazy2
