What a beautiful day in the northeast for a ride

Decided to scout a route to wrap up the Columbus weekend rides and took a nice combination of roads up into Connecticut

1st stop was the Bulls Bridge covered bridge (about 60 miles) and then the covered bridge in West Cornwall (about 80 miles from here) just a few miles from the famous Split Rock raceway on scenic route 7 along the Housatonic River, did not make it to the covered bridge in Mass which is about 30 miles away but the road looks great and is marked as a scenic road.

At the gas stop  at the interestection of 4 and 7 I saw this great 1942 Harley servicecar
I could not tell if the pannier was 50 caliber or 30 caliber

Coming back I took some roads for the 1st time, always fun to do that and came back thru a few roads that we will NOT ride next month

So far I have roads with no potholes and explansion joints, and route 7 may be finished with the paving of fresh asphalt in a few weeks (bonus)

All in all a great way to spend 4 hours or so

Even if its just Oss and Bonnie, Meathead and his wife, Gig and Lulu, Hook and Baldo (are they bringing wives?) this promises to be a memorable weekend with some great riding.

Oss, no wife or passenger coming with me.

Looking forward to meeting and riding with you and who ever else can make it.

Only thing that will keep me from going is the weather.

I'll be solo, Oss. I need to do some tinkering to get the old girl purring....

Looking good.  cooldude Can't wait. I've never even seen a covered bridge except in the movies and on ride reports.  Smiley
