Taurus Judge.
Several different barrel lengths and are either chambered for  2 3/4 only or 2 3/4 and 3". Also shoots .45 Long Colt.
They are a wicked short distance defensive gun depending on the load. OOO Buck is what I leave in mine for defensive rounds.

You can get a black one at Bud's Guns online for around $450 plus the transfer fee ($30 if you shop around) and no tax unless you live in Kentucky.

Excellent home defense, and in car carry, m/c carry close range weapon. You won't kill everyone in the next room of your house, and you can make Mchamburgerface out of a hi-jacker. Use the handgun specific ammo, shotgun ammo will punish you. I like the PDX Defender, 3 flat disc followed by 12 pellets. Also handy to keep in your business, in case you can't tolerate unruly patrons.

I thought about getting one when they first came out, but, didn't like the way it felt.

I opted for a Ruger 357. But, am still thinking about getting one, maybe for JoAnn.

The Raging Judge is a neat little gun. 454 casull, 45 colt, and 410 shot shells. Shoots all 3. the 410 would make for an awesome snake gun, they also make some pretty cool self defense loads. My neighbor has the Circuit Judge which is the rifle equivalent to the judge.

I carry mine on my side in Alabama during planting season for deer hunting. Killed two Timber Rattlers so far with mine. It pretty much vaporizes the head off the snake with any of the birdshot rounds.

Kind of rubbery texture compared to a DB Rattler.

Pappy,
Try cutting in about 1/2 inch cubes, lightly breading a deep fry for a minute.  Gives a crispier texture.
