One has to wonder which will run out first, the ammo or the victims.
This insanity is one of the main reasons I don't like to transport to Detroit, Chicago and a few areas of St. Louis. Way too many radicals/criminals/druggies/gang members who don't respect human life.
I transported a car from Kentucky to Detroit a few years ago. the kid (a young black man) rode along with me. Upon arrival at the destination (before we exited my truck) he said to me, "Stay close to me and you'll be alright". I immediately pulled my side arm from it's normal place and put it and holster on my belt.

I assume it was because I was driving a Dodge.

Was over at my bosses place the other day helping him work on a car. He stepped outside of the garage and noticed black smoke coming up from down the road about a quarter mile away. Closest building is at least a half mile away. Smoke seemed to be coming from near some woods just off the asphalt. We thought we'd go investigate, this is out in the county and it's not unusual for folks to burn tree stumps, trash, stuff just to get rid of it. One never knows. Before we got out of the driveway, we heard the sirens so, we stayed put. They would not want us in the way. Turns out, there was a car intentionally set on fire. The FD put out the fire and found a body in the back seat. My opinion, most likely a drug deal gone bad, doesn't matter, some kid will most likely end up a ward of the state due to this person's demise. Sad, very sad.
