Flaming Valk

I had some aluminum stock left over from another project and decided to put it to use.  I didn't like the fact that my Black Valk had those ugly engine hangers showing.  I took the hanger covers off the Interstate and used them as a template.

After cutting them out on the jig saw, and putting a number of coats of black enamel I decided I didn't want just plain black hanger covers so I turned them over to my son in-law the Canuck, talented guy for coming from Winnipeg, and told him to use his imagination and here is what I got back.

Well he surprised me, hadn't expected the flames and I'm not really a flame guy but I think they turned out well.  Looks like flames coming off the back of the engine when I put them on.

Hey.  If you happen to have a template for making them pass it along.  I have some Polished Stainless that would be perfect for these but I have nothing to go by.

OH YEAH... THat looks awesome.

The most expensive things you will purchase, are those things you would not have needed if you had listened and obeyed.

Most of the credit should go to the Canadian, I just might think about letting him loose on the bike.

Nice..... but don't be surprised if some (nearsighted) good Samaritan runs over and douses her with a bucket of water.   ;)

I thought about it but forgot, next time I take them off I'll make sure to at least make a cardboard template.

Now those are really nice! I made a cover out of aluminium to cover the fuel side mount do to the previous owner installed a Pingle shutoff thus leaving a ugly motor bracket visible.

would be cool if you scanned a drawing with dimensions to share.
