I made a post about a loss of faith in a VRCC member. I called , texted and did everything but send a message thru the VRCC. If I had done that , none of this would have happened. As I explained in a post , a job change and phone service that was changed and calls and messages not forwarded caused a major issue. When the post was read , action was taken and I was called. Father has medical issues and not receiving messages , I was forgotten. It was not intentional , but family is first. The issue is resolved and the only wrong doing was on my part for not going the extra distance and using this board for the contact. I apologize to all VRCC members and to the person I started the post about.
I did not , and will not disclose the name and I would have only as a last resort to protect other
 VRCC members.

Ross, You are a true gentleman!!!!
I, for one, have used the VRCC contact info and never got a response due to outdated e-mail addresses.
Let's all make sure those lines of communication are up to date so that others can contact us.

We are still talking 3 months ... Excuse me for not being excited and I'll add if you had not called him out of the General board you would still be out of merchandise and no payment in your pocket ... I'll say again ...Hope I don't know him and hope I never do .

Too many people like to talk about integrity but many people don't really know what it is or what it means to have it.

Da prez didn't owe any of us an explanation but he stepped up and filled in the blanks where he thought he was wrong.

I have to say though the sword cuts both ways in his answer. Yes prez could have used the VRCC site to try and touch base with the other party, but the other party could have reached out to him too via this site also regardless of any personal situation. You do not take something from someone else with the promise to pay and fall off the face of the earth when there is an open forum to communicate through if personal contact info is lost.

Da prez posts on here often enough to be found.

Just to finish, my grandparents used the word scruples quite often when I was growing up and it's used has faded away like many things from their generation. Words like character, morals, integrity and scruples are meaningless without the actions to back them up.

I don't think da prez owes anybody anything. Honestly, I don't think I'd have thought to try to reach somebody through a message board if all other avenues failed. Despite being frustrated - and justifiably so - about no contact for three months, I thought you handled the whole thing pretty well, especially by not going total nuclear and dragging the guy's name through the mud. No harm, no foul, and the issue seems to have gotten resolved.

It's easy for everybody else to say this guy could have done this or should have done that. But as I suggested earlier, nobody knows exactly else what the other party has been dealing with that required all of his attention. Sh*t happens, and sometimes we just have to drop everything else to deal with it. The first eight months of this year have been one thing after another of exactly that for me, and while I don't owe anybody any money, I can easily see how something like this could have slipped off the guy's radar. Good on you, Ross, for being patient and for doing business like you do. And again, I'm glad you've found a resolution.

Some here may know and some may not but I am a knife collector ( I don't own just 3 or 4 but more like 700 Embarrassed) I have dealings with people on a daily basis and if I buy or sell a knife, if known to me or a fellow collector that sent them my way I will ship the knife before receiving payment. I almost got burnt once but I did remind the guy that he gave me his address to send the knife to and I did have a GPS and would be on his front porch with the law in a few days. Needless to say I had the full amount in hand in 24 hrs 2funny
I understand oversights but 3 months is a bit excessive in my opinion. And yes I understand Family first but let the fella you are dealing with in on the skinny.
I will continue to treat my fellow man with trust until I get burnt.
