Hillary...how are you gonna "unring" that bell...sweety.

Basically, those who were already voting for her, agree with her mostly, so it won't make much difference, and most that find her comment reprehensible were already going to vote against her...

This was no slip. It was deliberately aimed at the undecided voters, trying to
shame them, if they are leaning toward trump. Interesting strategy.

Well...Romney was never able to walk back his 47% comment...it dogged him relentlessly.

I agree it was no slip... she has said it before.  She only apologized this time because it went viral.  If it is a strategy, I don't get it.

Agree. The statement and the apology were probably both planned before hand.

It is following the strategy that has been practiced by the current administration.  Playing the divisive card seems to solidify the committed supporters.

There was a time when the losing candidate after a presidential election would concede by stating the his opponent was now his president and the winning candidate usually would comment that he now supported and served all Americans.  Those days seem to be gone and I miss them.

Basket of deplorables?  I'm in there for sure.

I think we have to admit that Hilliary is showing her true colors. I appreciate her truthfulness and candor in this situation. She knows it's a tight race and that millions are not going to support her or vote for her. She, like Obama, will not be everyone's president. She will only serve those who attempted to put her in office. She has written off in the neighborhood of 50% of the population because she does not need them for her agenda. Nothing she says or does will stick, just like it was with Bill.

That statement was made to cement the bond between minorities and Clinton. Kind of like Romney's off the grid statement about the infamous "47%".
It was an "I have your back" statement to them....at least until the election then it will be business as usual for 3.9 years and another "I have your back" statement.

I agree, the polls show it's becoming a tighter race.   She's simply solidifying her position with those she thinks are in her camp.

Of course, she supposedly felt faint and "over heated" while attending the 9/11 ceremony at ground zero today.    Nothing to worry about, she says she feels great.   Yep, the Secret Service is always there to keep their client from falling to the floor.    Wink
