No way to know. Since it is free, and nobody gets removed, there is no way to know how many members there are at present.

A member number, for what its worth, is associated with your VRCC membership. VRCC membership and registration for the message boards are separate entries. It is possible to have one without the other. If you haven't yet joined the VRCC you can do so by going to the Valkyrie Riders Cruiser Club home page and clicking on "Join the VRCC".

I don't know the answer to that, Mark. I'm member 10,177 and joined in 2001, I believe. I've seen a lot of people come and go. All that I've met I'd consider friends. I used to have run-ins and spirited discussions with a couple members---but then when I met them, we actually became pretty good friends and found we had a lot in common. I dearly miss the ones who've sold their Valks, those who no longer frequent this board, and those who've passed. Time marches on. I look forward to meeting many more in the future. |

I'm probably registered here 3 or 4 times, at least. In the early years I would get busy and not log on for months at a time and forget my ID and PW. I didn't come into this section of the board for 11 or 12 years, only used the tech section, but after I retired I had the time to look around more.

It really took off fast in the beginning. I registered on the 3rd day IIRC and even at that my number is #437. Gale had asked me to be co-editor but I was too busy with the pipes. So Lamont accepted the same offer. Though he had signed up right away, he got #0001.
