Hoping to see some great colors!

Leaving Oct 8th to visit Laurie's brother and his wife in North Myrtle Beach. Laurie will be flying there so I can haul butt and not have to stop so often. 
Her brother rides a Harley so we're going to leave Monday and stay at a cabin in Murphy NC till the following Friday.
Going to do the BRP, Dragon and Cherohala Skyway.
Going to stay Friday night in Asheville near the airport and Laurie will leave early Sat morning.
I'll be riding back.

Going to make it much easier packing!   

Other than the routes I spoke of above, any tips on any other roads/routes?

Maybe pick up the Natchez Trail on the way down, then u get to do it all in one ride

Well, from the latest forecast looks like Myrtle Beach will be taking damn near a direct hit from Matthew.
Talked to Laurie's brother last night and they're prepping for evacuation, which means they will not be making the trip to the mountains if Matthew continues on this track. They'll be going back after Matthew passes to inspect the damage (they live only 2 blocks from the beach).

Looks like I'll be taking turnpike to 75 up to the Murphy area.

Sure hope Matthew takes a more Easterly turn soon!
