Had the left ankle X-rayed today and will NOT need surgery! BUT my Doctor was worried bout blood clots.  Lips Sealed Soooooooo after phone calls to the V A in Poplar Bluff Mo. and going to my V A Clinic in West Plains Mo. my lovely Nurse told me to head on back to the civilian Hospital-O M C West Plains Mo. for an ultra sound on my left leg. Which I did BUT-always a BUT-it was 20 after noon and my appt was fer 1530-3:30 P M for those that don't unnerstan 24 hour clock-and bein as I NEEDED a new keyboard went to wally wurld first. Lucked into a FULLY charged electric wheel chair AND that was the first "wind" I've had in my face since the accident!  Lips Sealed Damn it felt GOOD-the wind!  Wink They want me to start using the left foot now-gently/easily/no running or jogging-YET.  2funny Back in for more pictures and evaluations in 2 weeks. IF I do NOT ride in September this would be the first time of not riding in any month since SHE took over my life!  Roll Eyes I've managed a ride of some sort EVERY MONTH since we got together. And truth be told I'm still evaluating MY options far as riding again goes. 58 years-cursed DIFFICULT  to walk away from!  Embarrassed Maybe-just MAYBE-life may have caught up with me!  coolsmiley RIDE SAFE.

Nooo Dennis, not yet. Give it at least another 10, then reconsider. That was my decision and I'm sticking to it....although my 2000 yr. old right hip is causing a temp. set back like your ankle. I can ride OK now, but after they bolt in the new one some time in October, it will be a few weeks before I'll be able to swing a leg over. Doing the anterior procedure so rehab and recovery should be quick, they don't cut muscles with that approach. Dang....just when our riding season is getting under full swing.  Angry

As soon as you heal up you will be back at it. Easy to get down when things aren't right,  I know that all to well. Give yourself some time and do things right all will be good.   cooldude

You are right, Dennis, just a temporary setback, which you will heal from. Do I have to come out there and put you on the back of the trike? That might be even more scary than the spill you had...
Love you, Bro  Kiss

Dennis,

Glad to hear you won't need to go under the knife. Please listen to your doctors. I KNOW you're a proud man BUT....remember what Toby Keith has to say about the subject!?

Stay strong

If you can ride then ride

Some times I think I might be able to again depends on my multiple sclerosis

Be smart and heal up, Dennis.

Inzane XVII is only nine months away, and it's gonna be a looong ride.

Wouldn't be the same w/o you and Bro... Smiley
