He is a dictator.

http://www.rollcall.com/news/politics/gop-mostly-powerless-stopping-obama-midnight-regulations

Cornyn said Obama seems to be in a “frenzy mode on his way out the door.”

“To my mind, he’s doing a lot of damage that’s going to take a lot of time and effort to repair. I do expect more. That’s been his M.O.,” Cornyn said. Back in Texas, he added, his constituents routinely complain about “strangling” rules and regulations issued via the EPA, the Labor Department and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Chairman Richard Shelby is watching banking and consumer finance regulations that come under his panel's purview. “We don’t know what he’s coming with. This president has set a precedent that none of us has seen in recent years,” the Alabama Republican said in an interview. “He’s tried to do everything by regulation rather than legislation.”

To be sure, there are 1,500 proposed rules and regulations in the pipeline, according to the White House Office of Management and Budget. That includes over 700 dubbed “economically significant” in the key final stage, and Katz said those are the ones to watch.
GOP Sen. Jeff Flake of Arizona, a member of the Energy and National Resources Committee, is particularly concerned about Obama’s increased use of the 1906 Antiquities Act to place certain lands off-limits to development.

So far, Obama has placed 548 million acres under federal protection, over twice as much as even Theodore Roosevelt, whose 230 million shielded acres earned him the “conservationist president” moniker.

[On His Way Out, Obama Poised to Act on His Own Again]

Those worried about more unilateral designations before Obama leaves in January are captive to his whims, Flake said. Conversely, however, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest has maintained that Congress' refusal to preserve lands and marine areas has given Obama the latitude to follow his gut.

What a joke...Cornyn says Obama's  "trying to do everything by regulation instead of legislation."

If he and his cronies hadn't been such twatwaffles and didn't obstruct EVERYTHING that came through Congress, he wouldn't be allegedly trying to do it all now. Maybe if he and the rest of them, Dems incuded, didn't take 244 days off this year, maybe something would have gotten done.

And his constituents complaining of burdensome regulations...lol....tell that to the people that lived next to that fertilizer plant that exploded and almost took that town off the map.

Tell the thousands of small businesses that are forced out of business and go broke every year, because of stupid and financially ruinous regulations, that do nothing but promote big businesses, that can afford the lawyers, accountants, and clerks to meet the regulations.

When I had my own operating authority as a trucker, I had to meet EXACTLY the same regulations, with ONE truck, and TWO drivers, my wife and I, that Schneider, and other, companies with tens of thousands of trucks have to meet!

Do NOT tell me that gov't regulations are not putting small businesses out of business, and forcing large companies to move off shore to reduce costs, so that they can compete with foreign competition.

I didn't say anything about excessive regulation not being a problem. I mentioned one instance where lax regulation destroyed a town.

I know DOT is crazy with some of their rules. I have a couple of friends in that business, and they're always complaining of the stupid regs they have to follow.

Sometimes, crap happens.  I do not know the specifics of this case.  It is impossible to regulate anything, to make it 100% safe, under ALL situations.  It is impossible.  We need decent regulations.  But, they cannot be so onerous that it effectively puts one out of business, with no significant gain in safety.  That seems to be happening a LOT now.

Pipeline near me an example.  Crossing a river.  Best, newest technology available.  Double wall.  Sensors in 2nd pipe to detect any leak.  90 feet and more below the bottom of the river.  Automatic shutdown in case of leak.  Essentially, will never leak, or will be stopped if it does.  What more can they do, reasonably?

But, is stopped in court, because it will contaminate the water!  If that one crossing is NOT safe, then NONE of the hundreds of thousands of crossings by pipeline we now have are safe.  Thus, followed to conclusion, we are now done with oil, because there is absolutely NO WAY to transport it.

EVERYTHING we have, is fueled by oil in one way, shape, or another.  EVERYTHING.

Especially the Valk!

It's kind of hard to regulate against meth heads that set fires to cover their tracks.

The fire that started that all off was ruled arson.

When the Repubs took impeachment of the table, they turned him loose.
And of course no Demo would ever dare oppose anything a demo president would do.

House and Senate are a complete failure to do thier job.

I wasn't aware of those findings. It looks like that was just handed down recently.

I was referring to the findings of the initial investigation. No fire codes in place was just one of them. It sounds like the company and the local regulator played it fast and loose...

This is what I remember when it was in the news. It happened at the same time as the Boston Marathon bombing....lots of news reports....

Thank you.  I thought I might have missed out on a very special breakfast.  As to the disagreeing part, I would think that whether a twatwaffle is agreeable or disagreeable would greatly depend upon the condition of the container.   Smiley

I wonder if there's a unique swearing in ceremony for twatwaffles.   ???

Time to get this thread back on topic. Next january 20 th, we the people of these United States will finally be rid of the worst president in the history of the republic, period. Our 8 year nightmare will be over. Regardless of who follows, they will not be anywhere near as ineffective, devisive, inept, hateful, racist, and plain bad for our nation as the obaminator. History will prove this, of this I have no doubt.
Any questions?
