from Verizon.

Bought their phone on line last week and couldn't make outgoing calls. Could receive calls and text.

Customer Service couldn't help.

Told me the phone was faulty and to ship it back.

So I bought a different model this morning at my local Wally World

Same problem.

So now I'm off to Wally World to get my money back.
Then I'll have to fight to get a refund for the service plan I paid for.

So my recommendation is to keep well away from TotalWireless.com

I think you might need a new SIM card from your new carrier, ask them about it...

I haven't seen a phone with a removable SIM card in about 15 years.

All AT&T phones and tablets have simm cards. I buy unlocked phones and switch cards don't get caught up in the contracts or pmt plans.

I've always had a go phone flip phone until at&t said it will no longer support a 2g phone after Dec.   Two weeks ago I bought a $49 smart phone with go phone service, cheapest I could get. After one week I still could not figure it out and then it stopped working. I took it back to Walmart an got a refund. I then went to at&t store to get a flip phone,$49 and had to pay some more to activate it with a prepaid card. Nope,I bought a $9.95 flip phone from Best Buy online and had at&t activate it for free and a $10 card. It works great.

It was Verizon messing the plot up. They were "holding" my phone number so I couldn't make outgoing calls with the Total Wireless phone.

Did some jumping up and down with Verizon and they in turn "lost" my number so I have a new one Grrrrr.

Using the Total Wireless phone and it works very well. Even when in darkest Tennessee.

unlimited talk and text and 5GB of data for $35 a month.

Phone cost me $40. You can use your old phone but have to buy a new "card" from TW.

It was Verizon messing the plot up.

Imagine that!

I had Verizion for my home internet for awhile.

Their wireless service is top notch,

Their Customer service is virtually non-existent!

Three months after I cancelled the service they began billing me again.

After Multiple calls to "customer service" they finally agreed that I didn't owe anything and told me that I had a ZERO balance.

Two months later, I start gettting calls and letters from a collection agency saying that I owed Verizion $120.00

I spent two years disputing the charges with no success.

Once Verizion turned it over to a collection agency (which they owned) customer service would no longer talk to me.

And the collection  agency's stance was that if Verizion said I owed the money then I owed it.

It only ended because they finally sent me a "Settlement" offer that was so low, that it just didn't make financial sense not to pay it.

It stuck in my craw big time to pay them money that I didn't owe.

However, it was costing me more to allow the "ding" to remain on my credit.
