despite Washington's PC efforts.

Today is Flight 21 of NE Indiana Honor Flight.

I was on Flight 19 Honor Flight to DC.  I was overwhelmed by the huge crowd welcoming us back at Ft. Wayne International Airport.

Here is a photo that I took of the following Flight, #20.  I was there helping to welcome my brother veterans. Patriotism at its best! A huge assembly of people.

Unfortunately, I have a commitment today and can't make tonight's 8:30 pm welcome of Flight 21.  Anyone in the Ft. Wayne area here in the VRCC, please try to make it in my place. You will be overwhelmed by patriots and their appreciation for vets.  I know that I was.  Go early as the huge parking lot fills up quickly. For further info, go to NE Indiana Honor Flight Facebook.

There is still much more good than bad in the world, and this is a shining example.  Thanks.

Absolutely go do this. Its amazing.
These old guys are just wrung out from the schedule on these trips.
As they come down the ramp and see the folks who have come to see them, its like 70 years have vanished. The sparkle is in their eyes and spring is back in their step.

You are absolutely right!  I got up at 4AM, My Honor Flight took off at 8:30. We were on the go all day long, got back at 8PM.  My 88 year old arse was dragging.

The over whelming crowd of people brought me back.  I shook hands of people from age  5 year to over 70.   The response was astounding and eye moistening.I got three kisses, good'uns I might add.  Too many hugs to count!

Fort Walton Beach, Florida I'm a simple man, I like pretty, dark haired woman and breakfast food.

We've tried to get my wife's father to go on one of those flights.  He's 87 and was in the Navy in the Pacific and saw combat.  He never talks about his experiences from then, and when asked says he has no interest in going on one of those flights.

We wish he'd go as we think that once he went that he'd enjoy himself.

But then again, maybe it would open up old wounds he doest care to revisit.

I can't help about the shape I'm in
I can't sing, I ain't pretty and my legs are thin
But don't ask me what I think of you
I might not give the answer that you want me to
