Hey can some of that and send it this way  will ya. 93 here today. Got caught in the rain last Sunday the rain water temp was 83 degrees. We don't  even get cool rain here. Got caught in a down pour that dropped probably an inch of rain in 10 minutes. Can't  even get cool riding in that. Grin What's it like to ride in cold weather,  been so long I forgot. cooldude

My heated jacket never leaves my saddlebag this far north, I started using it occasionally 2 weeks ago.  And admittedly I love the cool mornings and the heated gear.

The one and only week I visited Florida was an eye opener for sure.  7 a.m. was over 90 degrees out and humid, never that hot in WI that early in the morning ever.  What was interesting was the rain showers there would be completely sunny one minute, the next downpouring rain, but for only 10-20 minutes and then sun was out again.  That, to me, is very odd to have complete sunshine one minute, rain the next, then back out to sunshine all of a sudden.

Heck, here in south Florida you can stop at a light look across the street about 100 yds ahead see a wall of water coming down at the rate of 1 inch  in half hr and never get wet. It's not unusual riding around town and see a down pour a head  and route yourself around the rain.  Where I live I must be in a vortex or something I see rain coming and it seems to stop about a mile away 4 out of 5 times. That's what  I like about it here. Rain never interrupts most activities. It plows through and is gone. When in Illinois if rain generally came it ruined the whole  day because it was generally an all day afair. We just had one of those events as I was typing sun shining again. Smiley

Here in NW Missouri, it was 46 when I got up this morning and the expected high is 76.  I love this time of the year.

I love fall riding in the mountains, ya just gotta be patient waiting on the sun to its thing.  Currently 27*.  Should be 50* by noon, 60* by 2:00, 65* by 4:00.  Then it starts going back down.  Soon it's all over.

A cool -4C for the ride into work this morning. That's 24 degrees F, according to the Google machine.

On the plus side, the Valk loves breathing that cool air.

It's amazing what difference a few miles can make. We rode up to Bryce this weekend. 90* here and 27* low there. 410 road miles, but probably only 200 or so as the crow flies.
