If you like to travel, be it by motorcycle or car, you are missing a treat if you don't watch the Aerial America series on the Smithsonian Channel. Each State and all it's important sites, as viewed from the air, is highlighted. So far I has recorded what has been aired, including some of America's National Parks at 100 years. there's some good stuff coming up next week.

and here I sit having the 2nd to top package over 200 channels on directtv paying 90 bucks per month and the SMTHHD channel is NOT one I get.   What a bunch of B.S.  having 200+ channels and only a handful are worth watching all for a measly 90 bucks per month,  can you say RIP OFF!!

I keep calling asking for 15-20 bucks off per month and they agree for one of these days instead of switching back and forth every 2 years between dish and direectv,  once the kids are gone I will NOT be getting ripped off for 90 bucks per month.   3 bucks per day for not much TV is a joke.   tickedoff

Once I got rid of the satellite I did NOT miss it.  cooldude Thought-mistakenly it turns out-I'd miss it.  2funny Someone comes up with a package I can pick say 30 channels for $15.00 a month I'd be in. Got my cell phone bill down a LOT once I dumped A T & T. Also got my internet bill below $25.00 a month. RIDE SAFE..

I've been watching the reruns for years. Have saved the Western states that I want to ride (closer to home), so I can look the episode over for points of interest, and encourage the wife of the destinations.

Have only been able to find a couple of episodes online, but there is a couple there.

There is also a Canadian one too, Canada: Over the Edge.

I agree,   give me 30 TV channels tops  even for 2 bucks per channel per month each and NOT the other 175+ that are useless.  do not get me started on cell phone bills: 4 cell phones for 4 of us run over 200 bucks per month with a 10gb shared plan.   Internet bill is a rip off as well 5 megs for 35 per month but NO OTHER internet provider is cheaper and faster/as reliable around me.  I dropped the local phone but still have to pay 9 bucks in monthly taxes because with internet provider need their phone line to get DSL connection.

If directtv did not give me 35 bucks off per month, the bill would be over 120 bucks EVERY month - RIP OFF!!  My limit is pushing 100 per month and at 90 is still not worth it now.  If I switch back to dish network will be still around 80-90 per month for 2 year contract.

Still wish I could get that SMTH channel to watch Aerial America since sounds like a program I would like to watch seeing scenery/etc from around the USA where I have not been yet.

I have a Roku. It uses the internet to stream programming that is free to watch. The Roku device costs

about $60 or so depending on the model. There is more content and variety than you could ever want.

If you "need" more, you can subscribe to certain channels for a small monthly fee. But those are optional.

And, the weather doesn't cause you to lose signal like a satellite. Unless, of course, you get your internet

via satellite.

Ride safe, y'all...

I really enjoy watching the show. I like seeing the sights from above, and the narrative is good and up to date.

I have an Apple tv, 4th generation, connected to my tv. It has Youtube on it and to my surprise there are a lot of episodes of Aerial America in HD on Youtube. So I'm all set to watch a few episodes tonight!
