Grand daughter is in the Air Force in (get this) Fort Hood Texas. I was stationed there in the Army in the late 60"s.  Anyhoo , We have furniture we want to send from the Chicago land area. If any one is headed that way or can make a suggestion , please let us know. We will contribute to the expenses as needed. (paying shipping)

Not trying to talk you out of anything but, I would suggest it would be cheaper to just send her the money to buy new or used furniture.   Unless the specific furniture has some historical or sentimental value.
