Saw this yesterday on the evening news. Watch the video for yourself. http://www.9news.com/news/local/share-this/watch-why-we-re-having-a-conversation-about-guns/327510038This guy (9News reporter Chris Vanderveen) is trying his best to convince the viewer that he is only presenting the facts, in an unbiased manner. I find many " facts" misleading at best, at least in presentation. I'd like to see statistics reflecting how many of those 90 people a day he mentioned are killed by legal gun owners in defense their property or lives, as opposed to how many are killed by inner city gang bangers using illegally acquired weapons. Hmmm. Crap journalism, IMHO.

From the gun grabbers at the Brady Campaign's own site, 56 of those 90 a day are suicides. http://www.bradycampaign.org/key-gun-violence-statistics

I hadn't thought of suicide as gun violence. So, if someone overdoses on pills is it pill violence?

OK so his Facebook page says Colorado the strong hold of liberalism and yet he has a pic of cowboys roping calves, I personally see a bit of a divide there maybe the man is really conflicted internally. https://www.facebook.com/cbvanderveenOh Colorado is indeed a strong hold of liberalism. Don't be so easily confused by the liberals, cowboys don't wear sneakers and that calf is a buffalo. (University of Colorado boulder Buffalo's).

The rest of the state is Republican. Same for most states - the urban centers are packed with the Free crap Army while the rural people who work for a living are ignored in the polls. There is a bill before voters that says any changes to the state constitution have to be ratified by the whole state - not just the urban centers. That should put a kibosh on the liberals desicrating our rights if it wins. And NO - CONSTITUTIONS ARE NOT "LIVING DOCUMENTS" AND OBSOLETE. Interesting thing - this bill is supported on TV ads by a black liberal ex-Denver mayor Wellington Web. Go figure on that one. Wonder if he just woke up - or what kind of epiphany he had but there needs to be more of that on the left.

Mark, I disagree about the Constitution being a living document. It lives as it as written until a 3/4 majority of the states ratify a change.

The Constitution becomes a 'living' document when the majority of the SCOTUS interpret it the way that they desire, thereby sidestepping the will of the people and the 3/4 majority of the states.

That is why there are three branches of government, to prevent any one from establishing themselves as a dictatorship. Oh.....wait......

Rather than continue the hijack of Valkorado's thread, I started a new thread on the Constitution as a living document.
