A police officer who responded to several calls about illegal street racing and reckless driving found himself surrounded by a mob of angry people, some of whom yelled and cursed at him while others hit and kicked his vehicle as he sat inside.

“F the police, we run the streets,” they said, according to Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer, ABC affiliate KFSN-TV reported.

"The incident happened the afternoon of Sept. 25. The Fresno Police Department and California Highway Patrol received reports of large crowds blocking traffic a few miles outside of downtown Fresno, according to the police department.

A California Highway Patrol officer, who was first on scene, spotted a reckless driver and got out of his vehicle to make a traffic stop, the police department said. Then, people began yelling at the driver to leave. The driver sped away, and the officer went back to his vehicle to chase him. That’s when a crowd of about 30 to 40 surrounded the officer’s sport-utility vehicle."

what is a cop suppose to do?  Get out and be pummelled by the gang bangers?  If he tries to get outside and reason with them, wanna bet at least one of the pervs has a gun.  There has to be something to invent that one cop can use to take down about 20 people all at once without shooting them?  Someone needs to invent a freeze time machine so everyone else freezes while the cop goes around one by one and handles all of pervs. 

I do think if one on one person, more cops could use their stun guns/tasers vs. shooting a single person though who may or may not have a gun that just does not listen to the police to get on the ground.

It's stuff like this which makes me believe drones would come in handy the way helicopters were useful when police first began using them.

Whether the drones would be fuel operated or electric, if a call comes in reporting something like this, the department can get a birds eye view of what is happening, dispatch the necessary units to handle the situation in a professional manner, catch as many as possible and have video footage to back up the arrest.

The next best thing would be to drop a huge net over them.

No respect is the problem with today's youth, and people in general. This us against them will get people hurt and killed now and in the future. Concerned citizens are needed. take the streets back so the Police are safe. If they can listen to the scanners and flash mob the area for photo ops and the like, why cant a group of weel armed citizens do the same thing.
