Is there an accessory hot by fuse box?

This is what I used Jerry. Sits under the seat and works like a champ. Allows switched ot always hot fuse channels. I tapped into the Honda 12 volt socket plug to get a switched path.

A word of warning on the switched accessory ports...

If the Valk does have a hot accessory port on the fuse box (Wing has one, not sure about the Valk)... it is likely fused at only 5 amps. 

5 amps is great for charging phones or running an mp3 player... not so much for heated gear, air pumps, lighting, or other high draw items.

If you're looking to add something that needs a lot of juice, your best bet is to use after market fuse box.  You can use a nicer one like has already been posted, or you can find various options at your typical auto parts store for cheap.  The cheaper ones usually need a bit more planning to put it in a safe place.

The fuse box I suggested pulls its main power from the battery. The switched part only supplies power when it gets a positive signal from the switched key power. The box allows up to 10 amps per fuse port (wiring from battery must be sufficient for use) with 6 channels.

I currently have a USB port charger, a OPT7 LED Accent kit, a Lunasee wheel lighting kit, and a 12v LED battery gauge running off of it with absolutely no problems. The LED Accent kit is on an always hot channel so I can run it while the bike is parked.

My Full on Wing and has an 1500 Valk buddy, Gill helped me out by sending me this. I just clipped the old connector off and found hot and not and away I go.

You mentioned this was just for a cell phone... that is definitely the way to go!!  Easy to install for one, and the bonus is that there's no actual modification made to the bike. 

I went one extra step and wired a cig lighter to the "acc" port of the fuse box (fused at 5 amps).  I use it for cell phone or gps depending on what I need at the time. 

One of these days I want to add in an after market fuse box (like the one Moofner posted) and wire in a motorcycle air pump (permanently) in case of emergencies.  Those things pull 10-15 amps depending on what kind you get.

I figured that one was straight off the battery (but didn't actually read the full specs). 

I didn't notice the fact that it had the "switched power" built in.  That is really nice... No need to wire in a relay for switching. 

I'm gonna remember that when I get to installing my air pump on the Wing.

Thanks for the info guys. 

I am going to get this and clean up my wiring this winter.  With all the crap I have on the bike this will help.

One problem I am having is when I have on the heated gear on.  When I am stopped at a light my stereo cuts in and out.  I believe that it is the wiring that I have the stereo tapped into.  The heated gear is put directly to the battery.  This fuse block should work great to fix that.
