What else can be said about this storm, I feel blessed to have had so many offers from our VRCC friends to come over to the west side to escape the monster, thanks to all, especially the Sheffers who's offer we did (finally) take and had a cozy stay at the cottage. Thank You Sherry and Jerry.  The traffic in this area right now is nutz, people trying to get home in a hurry, our house faired well, my heart sank briefly as we turned into our road I could see that large trees from behind our house were missing but thankfully they fell away into the woods. No power yet so we went for a nice ride to cool off and found some restaurants open. Downtown as you all have seen was flooded terribly, it may be a while before it is back to normal. Overall we are just glad it wasn't worse and nobody was hurt.
God Bless you all.

It does feel nakid, about three of the classic Fl. 65 foot tall pines that I could count on the turkeys to roost in and break the morning silence with their gobbles have fallen. Others are still there but these biguns will be missed. Brightside is our bottle brush trees will get more morning sun they so needed.

Good to know that you guys were in a good place during the storm Mike. Glad the home had no real damage to contend with, you two stay safe.  :coolsmiley:

Power to the people, we are on as of 10:25 Sunday morning, my first action was the kuerig machine and some nice hot coffee.   :cooldude:
