Just wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of you
who came to one or more of our rides this weekend

Big Rig and Jim (excellent pics !!!!) for riding up from Philly area,
Xman for riding from near Hawk's Nest
HarryC for coming friday and Sat from upstate NY
Stan and Mark for riding up from west Jersey
Dan for doing it 3 times  (you are an animal Dan   cooldude ) and helping with the shocks change over
Hook for riding in from SouthWestern Mass.
The Bull for coming up from Long Island friday and returning with his wonderful wife on Saturday
Baldo for riding in from the middle of Cape Cod ( and he gets the award for best timing as he arrived as we were pulling out of the driveway to go to the Portugese restaurant for dinner)
G-Man for coming Sat. and for giving folks a ride back to dinner from their hotel after driving to the Bronx to get his inlaws   its always good to ride with him anywhere, glad you were able to tighten that exhaust at the last minute,
and of course Brenda and Rob for hanging in there on the Friday ride with no sleep since leaving Arizona the day before, for donating extra to the bridge fund at Bear Mountain and making all 3 rides
I wasnt sure my last minute decision to take those last few back roads would be safe with all the wet leaves, slippery roads and switchbacks but it all worked out and indeed they were the highlight of the day for sure

Its the folks that come out and put in the miles that really make the ride, I just follow the roads and point out the history and pick where to eat   2funny

Maybe I will do this again next year.

Oss, thanks for hosting cooldude

I was amazed at the amount of excellent riding so near your home.

Looking forward to meeting your Sherpa friend.

By the way, from google;

What do the Sherpa people eat?
Sometimes a stiff dough made from a mixture of grains (sen) is eaten with a thin sauce made from spices and vegetables, or meat if it is available. A typical dinner is a stew (shakpa) consisting of balls of dough, potatoes, and vegetables. Dairy products, especially butter and curds, are important in the Sherpa diet.

Oss,

Thank you for all the time it took to put this together. I only wish I'd gotten there a little sooner to enjoy the scenery, instead of the precip. Especially on Friday........

It was great to meet everyone in person instead of just online. It's funny to see the difference netween perception and reality....

I was a little confused about the clothes. I didn't notice the shirts being inside out and backwards while we were eating that fantastic Portuguese food!
