Was backing down the driveway on the Valkyrie and recalled the last time I rode the Valkyrie.  It was to and from OSS' house to have it worked on by BigBF.  Before that, it was to Morgantown for INZANE, and before that was last season.

I did my pre-ride once over and didn't even need to add air to the tires.  Somehow the left side exhaust pipe loosened up from where they hang from the passenger pedal area.  Didn't notice it until I was on the road.  Glad OSS had a nice set of wrenches (I removed the tools from the tool pouch hanging from botton triple tree when I cleaned the bike last and neglected to put them back in, did the same thing when I left for Morgantown  Cheesy ).

Even though I've put so little time in the seat, she runs smoooooooooth.  Even better since Bill tinkered with her.  I think i'm prolly gonna need to replace the brake rotors because for quite a while I was running pads that made a lot of noise, not realizing the noise was not good for the rotors.  I have changed the pads out to OEMs and the noise is less, but still there.  The rotors don't seem too bad, but there are a lot of fine grooves in them.  Maybe with more milage, the pads will conform to the rotors and the noise will lessen?

Not bad for a 13 year old bike that has undergone several incarnations.  Just wish I could ride more.

Hold the phone, Joan!
Slow your roll, Joel!

Never said "Unwanted".  And will never part with my Valkyrie.  The Valkyrie is a very special motorcycle and I would never let it go because I know I will always regret it.  I'm sure it'll undergo one or two more incarnations before its ultimate incarnation as a trike when I get to weak to hold her up.

Long Live The Valkyrie!

Is that a number for the first ride or a hello to the politicians.

Gary, you need to get out more. Smiley

As long as the bike stops good, I wouldn't worry about the rotors.  Don't think you have that many miles to consider replacement and I believe the noise will lessen  You could have them mic'd if you're overly concerned.  I've still got the originals on my first Valk with 116K on her.

Thanks for the ride Saturday night. cooldude cooldude

It was great meeting you and Cheryl and the In-Laws.
