I had a young gal attempt not to yeild the right of way as I was turning left on a city street on our town  I was in my car an let her know I had no intention of stopping. This friggin idiot was straight across from me not on my side an she was looking straight at me. As I forced her to stop I noticed she had a little kid in the back seat. Their was a person on my left at the stop sign I wonder what they thought.                                                This is not the 1st time this happened. Years back a gal did the same thing and she forced me to stop because I was on my bike. I wailed on the horn an she just looked stupid as she went by.

Maybe I'm not understanding the situation. But if you are turning left onto another road, aren't you supposed to yield ?

Not if the other drive is approaching from you left; they yield to you.

So the situation was a 4 way stop ?

Or maybe uncontrolled intersection. Only gregk can answer that.

Gotcha. In my mind I was thinking of an intersection with just the green light not an arrow.

it happens,  some people cannot see the stop sign or stop light for some odd reason not familiar with the area probably.    I have done some illegal maneuvers in other bigger cities that I have never been to before with traffic all around me with odd looking intersections/lanes.
