I just saw on the news that six people jumped in to help a police officer make an arrest on a 18 year old.
It happened in Auburn Indiana, a nice town to the north. The police officer commented that it was a welcome change to people whipping out their smart phones to record police in trouble.
Just for information ,every one, including the perp, was white.
On still another note. A minister wrote in "Letters to the Editor" and thanked all. He was in a funeral procession and as it rolled toward the cemetery, joggers stopped, cars stopped, and one man even shut off his lawnmower as they passed. This was the Ft. Wayne/ New Haven area.
Yep, indiana is my state!

Too early in the morning for me Baldo.  I hope that I don't take a 'battering' over this. It's better than getting 'grounded' tho for a negative post. UUGH! |

We still had some flooded roads but his week, left over from Matthew.
I crossed the Ira Halstead bridge coming home and saw a few cars pulled off at the Horseshoe Rd intersection so I pulled off to light a smoke. Got to watch a doorless Jeep running toward us through the deep water, stopped took on 3 passengers and went back through. Returned with a new passenger.
Shuttling his neighbors and kin. The guy I talked to said neighbors are sharing cars, rides to work and filling the the Jeep guys gas tank.
Positive rural folk, getting by!
