So many colors to choose from yet so few stand out

Covington, TN

« on: October 15, 2016, 05:08:28 PM »

I'm looking for a 1946-1948 International or Dodge Pick Up.   Looking one ton dually but, will consider a 1/2 ton.   Really depends on condition, price and location.

Doesn't need to be running but needs to be as corrosion free as possible and complete as possible.   Everything I've found is already restored, rat rodded out or, a piece of rusted out junk.   Yeah, it also needs to be cheap but, price is always negotiable.   I've been looking on line for a while but haven't found anything worth buying or that isn't already finished, not worth the asking price in my opinion or, out of my price range.   I have my own ideas.  If and when I find the right one, I try to move on it.   Yes, $$$ are always a consideration.

Any help or leads would be greatly appreciated.   Thanks in advance.

OK, I know someone here knows of one of these old trucks sitting around going to waste.

I'd like to put it back on the road.

Heck, if it's just the front cab, hood and fenders I might be interested.     coolsmiley

Can't think of one off hand, but, I'll keep my eyes open.  I'm looking for another Studebaker or Model A so the head is usually on a swivel.  Most of the farmers around here are restoring trucks that heavy.

Gotta be something your way or west. Too much salt up here and it eats vehicles up. Nice thing about those years is that they were made of steel. Unlike the Tupperware vehicles of today

Appreciate that.  Thanks.

I know a guy that has a 37 Ford Model A (I think) Panel.   He told me there were something like 400 made.   He'd like to get something else and this antique is for sale.   If you have an interest, send me a PM and I'll send you his number.

Yep, I'm fully versed in that.   Was into Pontiac Fieros for years (still have one), learned the hard way not to buy anything from north of the Ohio River.   But, one never knows.    You may know someone that has an old International or Dodge sitting in some old barn waiting to be discovered.   Ya gotta ask to get responses.

Wow!   That old truck looks to be in pretty good shape and has the style of frontal grill, fenders and cab I really like.    I wonder how many pints of blood I'd need to sell to get enough to get that?

I fully understand.

BTW, that offer still stands to come haul it off for you.  Wink
