It did it again! This time #6 had a pretty good squirt come out of it. BF changed the cover plate at Inzane and I've got several 1000 miles on it.
This happened about 7 weeks ago, #4. I also had a bad fuel leak (rail o-rings) I changed the o-rings just before Oss's ride and had no problems. Looks like it's a Dan-Marc for me. This is getting old.

Bob, along with the DanMarc I would think new float valves might be in order. This has been 2 different cylinders that have had issues. A danmarc is excellent insurance, but I'd still like to keep the floats from overflowing.

Bob, along with the DanMarc I would think new float valves might be in order. This has been 2 different cylinders that have had issues. A danmarc is excellent insurance, but I'd still like to keep the floats from overflowing.
Yes, cure the true problem and then apply double-preventative measures, rather than patch the problem. Remember "Ounce of prevention", and all that, do things right the first time and it'll be done for a long, long time. |

Thanks Gavin, I got these when it leaked the first time. I have a set along with the rebuild kit from Redeye. I was hoping to make it to the off-season before I pulled the rack again....  Only so many hours in the day..... Bob |

Thanks Robert. I was thinking about that today. Is there any reason, either way, to go with a vac or non-vac Pingel with a Dan-Marc? |

Only so many hours in the day..... Bob I have done 2 hydrolocked valks both with gears broken. These are what I used to replace the stock float needles. Also changed out the petcock with a pingle. I also turn the fuel off and let the bike die before putting her away every time. Just a little extra insurance to make sure the bowls are mostly empty. Of course if the petcock leaks there is no use. I test my petcock weekly to make sure it functions properly. |

Change the floats as well, they are just plastic and can become deformed |

If I was to make a choice it would be OEM. Might be a touch more money but, sometimes the "cheap will become the expensive". Just an opinion.
