This new Triumph is pretty nice, imho.

Oh, make it 4; a Thruxton would be nice, too.

more than anything most cases is not the space, but the money to have 3-4 bikes.  You can always add a storage shed or another garage somewhere in most yards.  If I had my way,  1/3rd of my entire city lot backyard would be a 20x24' garage to store all my toys in one place.  Wife will not allow it would look stupid, but I do not care how and what is left of my city lot looks like.  Less mowing space and more enclosed storage would be VERY nice to have.

I'll be visiting my son in socal for Thanksgiving an will try to make sure I get to sit on a new bobber or if he has a demo to get a ride on one. He owns Douglas Triumph in SanBernardino,Ca. I quit riding but would REALLY like to have a new Triumph.

I'm not diggin on the bobber... but that Street Cup is lovely.

The wife, however, said my old Thunderbird Sport looks better.  It's hard to argue that!!!

Tis a cool looking bike.  Wish I had the geometry and spine and youth to ride it.  Will be interesting to see the numbers with that 74 c.i.  on 550 lbs.  I read the comments and it was quite the back and forth between and old schooler or two about how it did not meet his needs only accomplished by old time hard tail Triumphs and the other group that said they liked the modern technology and benefit of riding all day and not breaking down.

Am actively looking for one of those or at least a Thunderbird or Adventurer in good shape. That 3-cylinder is an amazing engine. How do you like yours?

The engine is Awesome... I really love that thing.  Nice an tame down low, scalded cat in the higher RPM range.  It just pulls and pulls forever... there is no drop off just before red-line.  Mine seems to run smoothest between 3500 and 4500 rpm (55 to 75 mph).

The only issue with the engine is having to remove the left side engine cover to replace the front sprocket.  I wish they had made the sprocket cover separate so that you don't have to buy a new gasket every time you change it.

The factory mufflers are held on with criimp-in threaded inserts... they don't last long before vibrating loose.  After-market pipes are almost a must.

The rest of the bike is well put together, and the "Sport" suspension is fully adjustable (big bonus).  Some of the silver engine Thunderbirds are 5-speed, the later models and black engines were 6-speed.

As far as riding, it's a pure joy.  I love tucking in on sweepers... it just handles so well.  I've even managed to scrape the pegs a few times on accident (having too much fun, I guess).

Some people claim it's a bit top heavy... I've never noticed.  Of course I'm used to a Valkyrie.  Smiley

Bottom line... I LOVE it.  cooldude

The Sport models are hard to find... but they do come up from time to time.

LOTS of good info in the "Hinckley Classic Triples" section.
