To put the Miata in storage.
When the weather gets colder the UHP (Ultra High Performance ) tires don't work well below 50 degrees. Flat spots, dicey traction, etc. They work very well in warm and hot weather as they're are made to do.
Sounds a lot like me. I think that some may not realize the effects of cold on the aging human body. Riding a motorcycle in colder weather doesn't agree with arthritis, a curse in older age. Even if my knees were good, I could not handle the cold when riding. In this imperfect world, the flexible becomes stiff and the stiff becomes flexible.

Anyway, the Miata will have a full dose of Sea Foam, tires aired up at 35 psi (no centerstand

), battery on the Tender, washed, top loosened, exhaust plugged (maybe) and full tank of gas.
Looking back, I would do the same again on my Miata choice. It runs as cheap as a Valk, is a lot of fun, in the wind, has a heater, and other extras, but doesn't bank, (which I miss) but, then again, neither does three wheels.
Jes amblin' in my thinkin". Not trying to sell anything here.
