i broke 3 ribs and punctured a lung with one of them.. took me about 3 months before i was functional again...went back to work after about 2 weeks but couldnt do much till after about6 weeks

It's really good that photochaser gave us an update on this thread.  It appears, though, that some read the thread for the first time.  If you'll look at the date when you read a post you'll see that the crash was in October of last year.

Photochaser, I'm glad you're back to being up and around.  It's quite normal to question whether or not we'll ride after experiencing such an incident.  Some of us do.  Some of us don't.  Welcome back to the wind.    cooldude

So sorry that this update caused people to think it just happened. So I amended the title.

Still, thank you for the additional concerns.

phideux: I did have a bruised lung, but no need for a tube. The docs threatened to intubate me if I didn't work that exhale-exercise-thingy, so I was pretty diligent with that (with wifely reminders helping).

The update is appreciated. 

Pretty amazing to most folks that you are back in the saddle after such a crash, but once motorcycling is in the blood, it is a life long hunger that must be fed.

May your future rides be less dramatic. cooldude
