Pega / boards for longer legs?

So I just bought this '99 I/S.  It. Is. AMAZING.

But: It came with MC Enterprises floorboards and heel/toe shifter.  To be honest, I'm not really feeling the geometry of these; I feel like my feet are too far back, and my knees are bent too much.  (6'2", 32" inseam).

What options do i have for something that puts my feet more forward and/or down?  I'm considering selling or trading the boards and shifter for something more like regular pegs (I like those Kury ISO-Wings or even the Swingwings).  Will switching to a more traditional footpeg help my issue?  Or do I need to get a lowering kit like I've seen referenced here?

I've not used the MC setup, so I can't really speak to that. But it looks like the stock position to me. The lowering kit will help, but it's only a couple inches down and forward. Hiway pegs and or Mick o Pegs are really needed.

I agree with Meathead. Lowering kit with Mick-O-Pegs and highways pegs. I am 6'5" tall and have done some research on this...it's the best current option. If Big Bike Things ever decides to make some forward controls again, I'll be getting those. http://www.bigbikethings.com/
Not too many years ago guys had several more options, but as the Valk gets older these aftermarket sources are going away.
Edit: Forgot to mention that a CBR1100XX Blackbird shifter might help too. In addition to my height I wear size 15 boots, so that is another challenge. I'll let you know on Tuesday how that works out. ;) The Blackbird shifter arm is 1" longer and sticks out 2" further from stock.

Yeah, that makes sense.  The MC boards appear to sit about 3/4 inch lower than the stock peg mounts already.  Are there any lowering kits that are still available?  I saw that Kury makes a peg lowering extension, too, but it seems pricy for what it is ($90, plus $25 for the Honda adapter, plus the actual pegs).

Also MarkT from HorseApple has been making them recently. I forget the price. PM or email him. They are powder coated instead of the left side being chrome.

I have the MC Boards with a Rattlebar & Mark T lowering kit.

The bolt holes where the two pieces of the floorboard join are oval, so as to allow some adjustment up or down and high or low, front or back. 9/16 bolts are supplied at this location but by substituting 1/2" bolts, more adjustment can be easily had. I needed more lowering so I milled the ovals into slots.

DK, did you have to adjust your stock shifter to make this work?  I think I like the boards and heel/toe, so if I can lower them successfully that might be the right answer.  But I can see how lowering them would change the relationship to the stock shifter.
