Got me some left over Norco iffin yer interested Goooooooooooooooooooooood stuff! RIDE SAFE. Norco is not as strong as what he said didn't touch his pain. Norco = Hydrocodone ie Lortab with less Acetaminophen. 325 mg instead of 500 mg. Percocet= Oxycodone which is what he took. John you want to take as little pain meds as you can at this point or when you do have your replacement it won't do you much good ( as you will build a tolerance ) to get past the surgical pain. Just FYI.

John, that is a downer. It'll go away but meanwhile..................
Balance problems are another of the many unwanted gifts of older age. We all become Klutz's. Adding to that is bad hips, bad knees, stiffness, etc.
I've been evaluated in an examination for balance problems and learned a few things on how to compensate. I hate Winter because of the slippery weather .
Heal fast so that you can have the hip work done.

that sucks and very poor timing due to hip surgery needed. Only bright side is now your left hand with get more practice and coordination for such things as wipeing your keester.... ???
Pain meds affect people totally differently. I am a big wuss since never took them ever and the one time I did for my pain after knee surgery I was totally out of it and loopy. A lady at work has no issues with same dose and pops them like aspirin near daily.

Re. taking the oxy, I never take a total pill...always cut them. Took them a little over two days and spaced out their use. Still have one bad spot just above that large wrist bone on the outside of the wrist, not discolored but very tender. Thinking I may go back for a new xray just to be sure, might just be a bad bruise....as opposed to a good one?!?

John, the only good bruise is the one you leave on the other guy. Sorry you're hurting, seems like with the additional mileage comes a definite slowing down. Please heal so that you can have the surgery that you need. I hope your girls will give you a pass on the shooting for now...

Funny you should say that, I went to take the kitchen trash bag out to the container and usually go out through the garage. This time my wife opened the kitchen door for me and told me to "use this door if you don't mind." She knows me too well I guess, didn't want me to pass through the garage/shop 'cuz she knows I'll find something to tinker with. Now, on Sunday morning, I finally have enough strength and dexterity in my hand to lift a coffee cup and hold a comb, she's had to help comb my hair the last 3-4 days. I'm hoping to be able to hold a washcloth and soap so I can take a shower. If not, maybe I can get some help.

Just realized I responded on the FL board... and I'm a coon-@$$. LOL. Ah well... the whole point was to send some sympathy your way, and I'm sure you'll read it over there.

Hoot, you're safe. You probably know I was referring to my resident bed warmer. And, I might add, she hasn't been doing a very good job of that the last few days, ya think it might be because I haven't been able to shower?
