“Are you telling me that I need to shut down a validly predicated investigation?” Mr. McCabe asked, according to people familiar with the conversation. After a pause, the official replied, “Of course not,” these people said. For Mr. McCabe’s defenders, the exchange showed how he was stuck between an FBI office eager to pour more resources into a case and Justice Department prosecutors who didn’t think much of the case, one person said. Those people said that following the call, Mr. McCabe reiterated past instructions to FBI agents that they were to keep pursuing the work within the authority they had. Others further down the FBI chain of command, however, said agents were given a much starker instruction on the case: “Stand down.” When agents questioned why they weren’t allowed to take more aggressive steps, they said they were told the order had come from the deputy director—Mr. McCabe. Others familiar with the matter deny Mr. McCabe or any other senior FBI official gave such a stand-down instruction. For agents who already felt uneasy about FBI leadership’s handling of the Clinton Foundation case, the moment only deepened their concerns, these people said.

FBI's Clinton Foundation investigation will 'likely lead to an indictment'
http://www.aol.com/article/news/2016/11/03/sources-fbis-clinton-foundation-investigation-will-likely-lea/21598104/

Both Fox News and the Wall Street Journal are reporting new information surrounding the FBI investigation into the Clinton Foundation, with sources saying the case will likely lead to an indictment.

New details surfaced Thursday, when Fox News host Bret Baier revealed new information from two separate sources with "intimate knowledge" of the case. Additionally, a new Wall Street Journal report says FBI director James Comey's pursuit of the case is based on recordings of a suspect in a separate corruption case who spoke about the Clinton Foundation's dealings.

The Journal reports that despite views from Department of Justice prosecutors who say the recordings as hearsay, the FBI moved forward believing these recorded conversations gave enough evidence to continue the probe.

While Comey has not released a public statement since he alerted Congress via email of new information surrounding the Clinton Foundation case, Fox is reporting inside information on where the FBI investigation currently stands.

According to Fox News' sources, the white collar crime division of the FBI is looking into accusations of pay-for-play interaction between then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and the Foundation, which had allegedly occurred for over a year. This operation allegedly favored specific donors to the Foundation's charities -- a claim the Clintons have previously denied.

At this point, one source says the FBI is deeming the Clinton Foundation a "very high priority." Interviews have been repeatedly conducted about the case, and the FBI continues to build "a lot" of evidence. Fox reports that the source went even further to say, "there is an avalanche of new information coming every day."

The classified e-mail investigation is reportedly being run by the National Security division of the FBI. The division is currently sorting through the laptop of former Democratic Congressman Anthony Wiener, and have found e-mails believed to be sent from Hillary Clinton's server.

May come to fruition, may not but, it is interesting news.

What is going on in the last two days is huge and of course the lame stream is not covering it.  Brett Baier ( who is a stand up newsman ) spent 10-15 minutes laying out a stunning scenario of what is really going on in the FBI and DOJ by several operative within that have come to him.  The FBI has four field offices actively investigating the Clinton Global Iniative and have for over a year.  They tell Brett they have an avalanche of info and it keeps coming.  They are 99 percent sure her server was hacked by at least 5 Foreign agencies or countries.  Also DOJ is trying to stop this but the FBI has refused to succumb and his sources think an indictment against the beast and others in the foundation is a certainty.   They may use RICOH laws.  Also the lap tops of Cheryl Mills and Samuelson were not destroyed but are being used as we speak to find evidence to lay out the FBI case - Oh Oh.

There was a much more and more came tonight.  I would recommend finding the Brett Baier Special Report from yesterday.

Trump will have HRC Lynch and others locked up.  I'm sure Obama will be harder to hold accountable as an ex-president, but he deserves it as well, maybe even worse.

That's one opinion.   We really don't know, do we?   But, just as you challenge Fox News, I am not surprised a Pro-Clinton organization would come out with such claims.    We're being used.

Again, the fact that this is an ongoing investigation is not good for Clinton.
Her past continues to haunt her.    Why you and others think she's a person worthy of being in the most powerful position on this planet is beyond me.    She doesn't have a clue as to the definition of integrity, she's married to one of the most renowned sexual predators to have ever used his office to "benefit" himself and she's sold her office down the river to those willing to Pay to Play.   A proven liar, thief and IMHO, a traitor.    But, you view her differently.    What flavor was that Kool Aid anyway?

I honestly don't like Trump, I think he's a jerk but, his dirty laundry in no way competes with Clintons.
Again, your perspective is different from mine but, I honestly do not understand how anyone can have that perspective and think Hillary will be good for anyone but Hillary.

Like him or not Brett  Baier is the most objective newcaster on the networks.  Fox also always wins the most trustworthy ratings of all the networks by a wide margin,  at least the last ones I saw which were in 2015 I believe.  Personally there is a lot I do not like about Fox but they cover darn near every story.

I sincerely believe Brett would not have come forward with this unless he truly trusted the sources he has with knowledge of what is going on in the FBI.  The fact that the other networks are not covering this shows there objectivity.

I did a search and couldn't find anything other that competing sources saying he was incorrect or siting unconfirmed sources but no admission that he said anything like what you're indicating.

Just trying to get to the truth.

There have been so many disgusting and disturbing events in this election cycle. But I think the Russian bullshit is the most disturbing. How anyone can be comfortable having the Russians and the KKK in their camp is beyond belief for me.

Quote
BRET BAIER: I want to be clear -- I want to be clear about this, and this was -- came from a Q and A that I did with Brit Hume after my show and after we went through everything. He asked me if, after the election, if Hillary Clinton wins, will this investigation continue, and I said, “yes absolutely.” I pressed the sources again and again what would happen. I got to the end of that and said, “they have a lot of evidence that would, likely lead to an indictment.” But that’s not, that’s inartfully answered. That’s not the process. That’s not how you do it. You have to have a prosecutor. If they don't move forward with a prosecutor with the DOJ, there would be, I'm told, a very public call for an independent prosecutor to move forward. There is confidence in the evidence, but for me to phrase it like I did, of course that got picked up everywhere, but the process is different than that.

With an independent prosecutor.   Got it.   Thanks for the link.    cooldude
I think that with an "independent" prosecutor, Hillary would have already been in court denying the allegations.   But then, pretty sure this DOJ wasn't going to go there.

I also would like to see what would happen if Obama pardoned her due to an indictment before the election but, we all know, that ain't gonna happen.  Wink
