By tomorrow night or Wednesday morning (hopefully!), we will know whether we have a Rising Sun or a Setting Sun.............A dawn of a New Day or the dusk of an old Day.

I'm sure that there were other elections that some thought were the precipice of destruction or life for the US. I just don't remember them but I can tell you there is so much at stake.

I thought you may like this its a glimmer of hope and in Times Square in NY. Thousands came to sing and praise the Lord in the middle of Times Square. Something we don't hear about in the regular news

I question your use of such a term. Apparently you feel the U.S. should continue to spread itself even more thin throughout the world via a nation without boundaries rather than take care of the needs of its own citizens. A global economy is one thing, but a global nation without boundaries is quite another and are by no means equal in meaning.

A perverse part of me is wanting Hillary to win just so when it totally implodes it won't be the Republican's fault... (Although the media will still spin it so that it's the Republican's fault anyway.)

nothing will need to implode. The alt. Right media industry manipulating the hate and paranoia will just work overtime least they begin to loose money.

I do have a fair question: If Donald Trump wins, and things totally implode, who's fault will it be?

Obama's of course, for fouling things up so badly for 8 years that not even Donald Trump could right the ship!

My take on this. After the results are analyzed it will show how even more we are divided as a nation. It used to be divided along party lines. Now I'm afraid it's going to be divided by male/female, city/rural, white/ethnic, young/old. I haven't felt this pessimistic my entire life.  Embarrassed

...maybe it's time to accept that there are irreconcilable differences and that, for the good of the kids, it's best for us to go ahead and have an amicable divorce.

I mean, we've been sleeping in separate bedrooms for many years now, the whole marriage is just a formality to keep the old fashioned folks happy, but really, it's been over for a long time.

Democrat, Green, Libertarian, Republican, Marijuana Party, etc etc.

I hope each and every legally allowed voter exercises their right at the polling booth.

If you don't I also hope that you will shut yer yap in the future until you are able to understand what it means to vote. Until you understand that many have died to enable all of us to vote.

Some may recall the Iraqi women allowed to vote after years of suppression. They held their purple ink stained fingers high with happiness.

The cynic may say it's all fixed and we the public have no influence and so can't be bothered to vote. Ok, keep that thought but shut yer yap post election.

I would also ask that we don't pay attention to the media talking heads who will try to guess the outcome.

If one of them tells you that Dem or Repub is ahead PLEASE ignore them and GO VOTE.

Finally don't forget that Repubs vote Tuesday and Democrats vote on Wednesday (keep calm - joke).

In a close race I think Hildabeast will take it by hook or crook. Trump will need a big win to get the electoral vote.

My wife and I are on opposite sides of the political scene. When asked, I told her in '08 how things would most likely turn out and when asked in the ensuing years, I would point out what had been said in the past and how most came to pass. Of course the biggest boondoggle is the UNaffordable Care Act. She maintains that healthcare is a right everyone has, which I have no argument against, it's just the way it was forced down our throats. She originally came back with "now, at least XXXX(her youngest son) can have healthcare." One day when they were visiting, I asked about it and he said it's a joke, he can't afford it and none of the people he works with can either....so they don't carry it. Seems to be systemic. This evening she wanted to watch the national news over dinner, so I just quietly took my plate into a different room. I'm sick of all of it and told her morally neither one is worthy of the position, then added that of the two....she's the worst. That brought on an onslaught of denial on behalf of Clinton so I suggested that after all this mess is over in the next couple days, I give her a link to a history of the "Clinton Crime Family" going back to Bill's upbringing starting in the 50's and up into the 21st century. Told her I guarantee it will open your eyes, even a little bit would be beneficial. I then dropped the subject, but she now wants to see it which I refuse to do until later this week. For her and millions of others, it won't make any difference even after reading it so I'm not going to bother. Goes back to that old premise.....don't confuse me with facts. I never argue with her, especially on politics, but not on anything else either. Our relationship is quite special, doesn't mean we always agree, but we don't have to argue either. It's been that was for decades....so far, so good.  Wink

Unfortunately, most women will probably vote for Clinton just to get a woman president.  Just like what happened with Obama, people just wanted a black president.  What ever happened to getting the best person for the job.

Neither Clinton nor Trump should be running for office.  They are both jokes in my opinion.  Although, I dislike Clinton more because of the blood on her hands.  She doesn't care about the American people, she just wants the presidency to make history.

I believe Trump cares about the people, but I don't think he will compete his full term.  I think he is just running because he is bored and wants something to do.  Once he sees how the politics is run, he will quit.  I believe he thinks it is like being king.  What he says goes, but he will find out that he is but one voice in the choir.  Albeit, a little louder than most.  2funny

I predict that it will be Trump by a small majority.
