politics aside,  these Valks are now 15 or so years old (or older) and more stuff is going to fail on them after 15-20 years, just a given. 

Most normal folks you meet though are still amazed most of our Valks looks 2-5 years old tops or some say like new.   I bet most of our Valks are pretty good shape considering the year, but if like mine,  if you look at the fine detail in the paint or trunk/hard side bags,  there are swirl or small chip marks in several places if get close enough to see them.  From afar,  it looks near new though.

At our Alabama get together last week Jeff from Florida looked at my bike and said it was the only 97 that had a cleaner engine block than his and another commented on how the timing cover looked new and wasn't grit blasted especially for 100+k

Considering a lot of states are mandating 10% ethanol in the gasoline, she's already drinking.    That's already more alcohol than is in most beer.
