Since I voted early, and still out of work, buddy & I took off for lunch in VT. at 9 this morning.
Had a chilly back road ride to Royal Diner in Brattleboro, VT. I had breakfast and Steve had BBQ. Then we both had pie!! Great place or what?
We rode Rt 9 over Hogback Mt. and turned onto Rt 100. The best twisty section of this road washed out in Sandy few years back. It's finally all repaired and repaved! Light traffic, and when we got to the end of the best part, I gave the 180* sign, and we went back and did it again! Sweet! Second time we saw no traffic and the bike was screamin !  Perfect !
We rode some more backroads with nice sweepers and an occasional twisty to get to MA. Rt 8a. This road starts out in farm country (nice views but lots of poo being spread  Shocked) then has a 10 mile run of S curves and twisties.  Most of it is uphill, way more fun powering up thru curves than braking down thru them.  That put us on Rt 116, probably the best motorcycle road in MA.  Ran it all the way to Deerfield without any traffic.
Picked up 202 to 9 east and headed home in the dark.  Didn't check miles, but better part of 2 tanks were burnt up.
Going back to work Monday, so I just might do it again Thursday &  Friday   cooldude

Hope the day was good for you too!

I enjoyed a similar Election Day experience. Voted early, then began to address a few billion leaves that need raking. But, as temps rose into the forties beneath the brilliant sunshine, I just knew a ride on the Valk was definitely in order.
I live in the Adirondack Mountains, where Winters can be long and hard. So, one CANNOT pass up a "warm" day in November.
I first followed Northbound Route 9, avoiding the fast paced Northway. I veered west in North Hudson, toward a particularly beautiful buffalo farm which sells homemade cakes and danishes, and allows you to brew your own Keuric blend coffees. The buffalo were out and grazing, but the store was now closed weekdays. So, that merely forced me to ride further north, where I breakfasted at the Noonmark Diner, along Route 73. (One of the best routes in the northeast, as it meanders through the High Peaks on the way to Lake Placid)
All in all, I traveled only 90 miles before returning to my endless fallen leaves. But, ANY time on the Valkyrie in November is a treat....and a thrill that I'm thankful for.  Take Care all.

That sounds great

I love going down 73 from Placid, took Gman down that route after doing the big loop from Lake George around the alpine lakes

Have they ever paved that road? It kinds sucked in all the best parts
