I, for one, didn't watch any of the debates, nor did I watch any of the mess being broadcast last night and into the wee hours of the morning. The only time I had a clue as to what was happening was shortly after 2:00am while I was watching a movie on TV. One thing most of you will discover is that with age, often your nights are interrupted by being unable to either go to sleep....or stay asleep. That's what I fell into last night after just a couple hours of snooze time....bingo, wide awake. I started watching this movie and an announcer popped in with the news of Hillary's concession. OK, now back to the movie which finally put me back to sleep.

Now to digress a bit, a couple days ago my wife was seriously telling me that when Hillary wins(my wife is a long time democrat who just knew she was a shoo-in) I was to promise to "put on my big boy pants" and accept the results. I told her I have no problem doing so, been wearing them for nearly eight years now. So this morning, I felt moved to reverse the direction of those comments so dug through some of her older jeans and found just what I was looking for.....she's down to 88 lbs. due to her illness and the jeans were from her days of 130lbs..  I strolled into the kitchen and asked if she'd like to try them on, I got a rather quizzical look and then she asked why. I simply laid them on her lap and said "honey, these are your big girl pants."  Been rather quiet around the house today.....and chilly!  Wink

Frankly, I don't have a problem with it. I know where she stands on such things and she knows me, we leave it at that and seldom talk about it. In the last 15 months I don't think politics was discussed more than three times....if that much. Might not be a bad plan for us to follow on this board, especially since it hasn't changed any thing or any body.  cooldude

2funny I know where you're coming from.  But no, due to her Parkinson's and other health issues she's quite restless at night. So, we've slept in separate rooms almost full time for the last few years, the idea being at least one of us should be able to get a good night's rest. But just for the record, prior to her current health issues forcing such accommodations, we never took any disagreements to bed. After the lights went out, almost without fail we held hands until we fell asleep. Kinda hard to fuss at each other while doing such corny stuff.  Grin

Back when we were younger if a discussion/disagreement came up, we sometimes would settle it in a wrestling match, which usually ended in a draw.  Wink

A draw?   Well, I guess that's one way to describe it.  Wink

A draw? Someone usually ends up on the bottom, and someone on the top! Other wise you aren't doing it right.

As for sleeping on the couch, it won't be me. I sleep in my own bed. Whether she does or not, is up to her. When I do, I hold a LOT more than just her hand. She hates it when I try to hold her while she's mad at me.   Smiley

You Da Man!!!   Same here, I've slept alone before but, it was in my own bed.   A judge or LEO may order me to leave but, no one else.

John, I can certainly relate to not sleeping very well.  You're right, it comes with age.

I did, however, sleep well Tuesday night. I watched a movie, didn't look at any of the shenanigans by all the 'experts'. I turned on the TV at 6 AM to learn about Trump.
