Well, there you have it!  See you and Ross in Billings cooldude cooldude

Seriously, we hope this allows you to make the big trip... as well as countless shorter ones on a regular basis both before and after.

Gonna take the bikes into our NC Mountains tomorrow for some Fall Color and country cooking - you will be in our thoughts.

You can buy a portable oxygen concentrator on eBay in the range of 200-300.00.

You probably could rent/buy one from a mom & pop medical supply business quiet a bit cheaper.

I have no idea if used ones are acceptable, but the med supply folks often sell used equipment cheap.

Several years I bought one for an aunt for less than $100.00.

Humans are the most adaptive species on the planet. That is why we have lasted this long.

You will make it just fine, my friend. You will find a way! cooldude

While I will not dispute any of the above, it should be noted that oxygen concentrators have to be rebuilt periodically for them to work properly.  If one were to purchase one through one of the above sources, it would still be a good idea to have it checked to ensure that it was functioning properly.  If the media (the stuff inside the tanks in the concentrator) hasn't been changed recently you will not be getting the percentage of oxygen you should in the output.  Not saying you shouldn't save a little money, but be aware of the risks.  Some supply places can rebuild the concentrators for a reasonable cost and make it "good as new" for a lot less money than a new unit.

To those that have posted about the portable concentrators-thank you. Found out one other thing they are removing which AGAIN makes zero sense to me. They have for me 2 styles of Oxygen regulators for me to use. The first one which WAS a stand by is a constant flow-2 liters a minute-regulator which depending on cylinder size get around 2 or 2 and a half hours out of a cylinder. The conserver regulator-WAS my primary-regulator is a demand type. The conserver regulator stretches cylinders to approx 5 hours for the smaller cylinder and approx 7 and a half hours for the larger cylinder. When I inhale it would meter the required 2 liters a minute ONLY on inhalation. So that will leave me with a constant flow regulator only 2 small cylinders versus the current 6 small cylinders and the conserver regulator. Could NOT get the respiratory therapist to answer-WHO ZACKLY wrote these asinine "rules"!  uglystupid2 BUT it IS what it Are. RIDE SAFE.
