Finally at the end of the day, I kick back, turn on the TV and try and find a program worth watching. Well this Ad comes on about woman's high heels made to feel like sneakers. So they went on and on, I thought to myself, why don't they just wear sneakers to be comfortable. Then I thought what is the whole point of high heels, I mean if you are two foot tall I can see it, other than that what is the point. I mean it trashes their feet and I understand it causes curvature of the spine, bunions, hammer toes and so on. I mean what is the point, I recall back in the Beatles days and Disco I had some taller heel boots and nearly killed myself. So What is it, it clearly goes over my head???

baldo is a leg man! I am no expert but I understand that high heals accentuates the calf muscles. They have to be murder to walk any distance. Politically speaking, Fox news have some nice foxes in heals!

I too hear that the above is what happens when a woman wears high heels. I wouldn't know a good pair of legs from a bad one, does nothing for me. Now, the rest of the figure, is a different matter, NOTHING like a shapely woman. All the right bumps and covers, hills and valleys. But I DO know when I see a GREAT pair of legs, and they are usually in high heels. I was going to add where I do like those heels, but need to keep it G rated.

When I lived in Pittsburgh, I had some old timers tell me that Pittsburgh girls had the best legs because of all the hills they had to climb every day....

I am a little confused about something, Another thing that crossed my mind as I was trying to figure out reasoning of high heels. As I was sitting and the TV was on, there was an Ad about women’s plumping their lips. What is with that now! Now what is the point to that looking like they were in a bar fight. Someone has to have the answer to that, what is it meaning, what is it trying to say, it looks so unnatural. Now that I defiantly don’t get, they do this Botox and even guys are starting to use it, they call it Brotox. The Botox result does not conform to most people facial lines, it looks out of place, it is as obvious and putting a piece of electrician tape across their lip. I have seen some botch jobs, to me it looks like hell, kind of a shaved A-hole. Don't get me wrong, I am no prize, but I am all original, with all my parts. I just can't seem to understand their motivations and what they are trying to project, where did it all start.
I figured there are people in our group that may understand why!!

There was a documentary on this subject in the not too distant past. It said it was all about sexual attraction going back to the dawn to of time and mankind. It all made sense to me when I watched it.

I think you are a little behind the times. Its way beyond just lips and botox and breasts. Like butt, calf, chin, cheek, nose surgery and more face lifts, mini lifts butt lifts. Vanity its all vanity and chasing after youth that is about the extent of the question of why women and some men do it. A good job is not noticeable a bad job screams.

Well!! The way I kind of see it, is the Big Guy in the Sky says, "I give you this body, and I just ask that you take care of it, that's all". So myself I try and not trash it too much, I am ink free no third party parts add on parts, just use good fuel and do a oil change from time to time.

OK, let me try.
Red lips represent the female vulva in "flush", sexual arousal. Same as red checks, the flush of arousal of a woman.
As for other enhancements, implants, they are to enhance what is already suppose to be there, making them look young (firm), more of what is required for breeding. Fat on a woman shows health and the ability to conceive, carry, and then feed a child (I don't mean being over weight, but the nice bumps).
Is is not about a woman being fat, skinny, it's about a mathematical shape of a woman that the majority of the males on this planet likes, they see as an attractive female (good breeding stock). There are scientific study's, showing shapes to men from natives in the Amazon jungle, to across the planet. What shape? Can't remember, but it's the classical shape of 36" - 26" - 36".

I tend to agree but a good portion of the women out there like enhancements because they seem to find things about themselves they do not like. Not to mention men also especially in this day of looking old is not the image some want to project. Face lifts can be scary in procedure and results, especially when you realize that small changes to your face makes a big difference in how you look. Our perception of people we see everyday is based in large part to a certain appearance and one change done well may not be noticed as a change. But what you notice is there is something different about that person. Most people in media are enhanced in one way or another. I would say that if all the plastic surgery was stopped it would be a vastly different world we would be in. If you have ever seen a face lift being performed its pretty scary considering they cut you pretty much at the hair line and around the ears and pull the skin up and cut off the extra. Eyes, nose, mouth all get pulled and cut proportionally also. This has to be done while not cutting nerves and keeping blood supplies also. People dont realize that this is real surgery. It is a very technical and yet artistic form of medical procedure that requires a certain skill set and experience so the patient gets the best results. Not to mention the evaluation of the patients mental and emotional status before you do this type of procedure. I have seen people who got face lifts and look like different people than the one you used to know. Some results are pretty scary also, you begin to realize just how intricate the face and appearance is. Liposuction is also a big one that can be referred to as body sculpting. That is pretty interesting to see a big glass tube filled with this off white and red stuff that was once in body and now they come out slimmer. We each make different kinds of fat that the good stuff can sometimes used as injections to plump up other body parts. You begin to realize just how awesome the human body is and how it was made. Kim Kardashian would not be what she is today without it, Bruce Jenner either for that matter. We live in a time when we can change what we dont like about our appearance but we still have a problem with whats on the inside. We no longer have to accept appearance that may not be the way we want about our bodies and looking old is not acceptable in media. I would say how many have dental implants, dentures or even just fillings in their teeth. While not on the same scale its still something that we change about ourselves. Contacts that change eye color, laser surgery to correct bad eye sight, cataract surgery to replace the lens in the eye to see again. Knee, hip, joint replacement all things we replace in the body for different reasons. Heart, lung, kidney, microsurgery to replace fingers all part of what medical science can do with the human body these days. Its amazing what can be replaced on the human body and how resilient it is, we are truly fearfully and wonderfully made. But none of this would be possible without this canvas called the human body being designed in a way to heal itself and being programed or hard wired to live. How we live and what we look like is more and more able to be decided upon by ourselves. Not necessarily being determined by what you had at birth but what it is you want to look like. They all are the reflections of the inward person that shows on the outward though. For that there is no miracle of science that has been able to truly decipher the human psych and to change it as easily as the body. Maybe that is why a good attitude and personality can overcome so much of whats on the outside regardless of what it looks like.

I don’t know! I feel we should be play the cards we are dealt and play those. Although I think raising one’s self esteem is a good thing, where vanity is obsessive behavior and may not be. Myself I am more concerned with what is in people’s hearts, rather than what they look like, I guess. To me corrective surgery is to repair a damaged part of us and seem reasonable, but not to, obsessively redesign ourselves is not natural and I don’t feel it is healthy. . Improvements on oneself is kind of up for interpolation I guess, looking and feeling good is one thing, but looking like freak is another, I don’t think that was the Big Guys plan for us to look like freaks. Thinking about it, I am starting to realize this subject may be more complex than can be described in a few words. We are what we are, I think if we would have made good choices in the past, our bodies wouldn’t shrivel and we wouldn’t be so judgmental to ourselves. Little fact, a husband and wife I grew up with, she looks nearly as good as she did when she was 16, and she is all natural, just took care of her body the right way through her life, I told her once, “It’s OK to Get old with us”. I don’t know I don’t have the answers, I don’t want to say they are wrong, it’s their hurdle to bare, I just don’t understand it!

My take on this subject is pretty straight forward. If you don't like high heels, don't wear them.If you don't like synthetic bodily enhancements.don't have them done to yourself. People, male and female, tend to dress and do things to themselves that they believe will increase their acceptance and appearance. All of us do it to some degree. The way we button our shirts, the clothing we choose, the muscles we develop fall into that category. Some have more need for a sense of acceptance and so they invest more. I don't so I don't. I try to be thankful for where I am rather than looking down my nose at those who feel a more intense need. By the way, I don't like high heels so I have never put a pair on. I'm sure I would look good in them.

Yes, I spent a good deal of time learning to read in elementary school. Just so you know, it takes a good deal more of the balls to be a head of a family that it does to simply go our own way in this world.

Ya, and some excuses are better than others! Some people are made to be a couple and some are not, and they realize it is not for them and move on. I was married for 3 years and realized it was not for me, and didn't go back and make the same mistake again. So I moved on.
