Was surprised reading the link. But then, he's British, leading a Squadron of Canadian pilots.

Great great story, one I had never heard.  There are countless heros form that war whose stories seldom get told and why that was the greatest generation and fought a two front war to rescue the world from it totalitarian enemies in only a short 3 1/2 years.
