Willow Springs is in Howell County Mo. Our local once weekly paper is called strangely enough-Howell County News. 2moros paper has the local and national election results from last week as if I didn't already know them. Here in Howell County 83% of the votes that were cast for POTUS were cast in favor of President elect Donald Trump. That's Just in Howell County Missouri. The state of Missouri overall leaned rather heavily towards the Republican agenda. Most of the higher offices of Missouri Government went to the Republicans. A few-very few-unopposed seats were held by the democrats. Not too frikkin shabby for a "Basket of Deplorables". I guess in a way I should MAYBE thank hrc for naming us-I DO wear that moniker rather Proudly!  cooldude Talk about something comin back and takin a big juicy BITE!   Roll Eyes RIDE SAFE.

You seem to have me in your thoughts quite a bit lately. Is there something I should know?

83 percent is extraordinary.  This is the Ozarks that use to be a Democratic strong hold dating back to the Civil war as they associated mostly with the south.  Heck this area use to glorify Jesse James.  My Father, Uncles and ancestors came from just a hop skip and jump from you over in Douglas County.  They were staunch Democrats growing up.  Boy did my Dad and myself get into heated arguments about politics back in the 70s and 80s until he passed in 86.  But we always respected each other.  If he or my uncles were still alive they would not recognize the modern Democrat party, and probably not have much use for it in its current form.  Maybe that helps explain the 83 percent.

Election day I wore my hilary for Prison 2016 and got Nothing but GOOD comments on it. Also have worn my-Proud Basket of Deplorables shirt and again Nothing but GOOD comments. Couple car dealers in the area on a new or used car purchase choice of rifle or shotgun. Best I can tell-liberals don't git very far here bouts. And B T W-that 83% was Howell County. Have NOT looked at a County by County breakdown for Missouri. I seem to remember it was a wee bit "different" in 08 and 12. RIDE SAFE.
